Title: Shift_E's Quick Mission Tuner?
Post by: TX-CUDA on October 11, 2003, 12:23:05 pm
Just read UberDemon's post in the General Forum about the new upgrade to his UberDemon Quick Mission Generator and he mentions this 3rd party app. Might be something worth looking into after reading the following....
* Added minor ability to communicate with Shift_E's Quick Mission Tuner EXCELLENT IL-2 FB 3rd party application. As you may know, we are trying to collaborate on some projects. You can configure it from the Tools menu in UQMG. After you generate a mission, you can run QMT going to one of the UQMG directoroes in IL2 and fine tune a mission, adding things like Skins, etc. I highly recommend this application.
.....the ability to add TX skins to a map/mission made with the UBQMG is a very good idea..with his new upgrade you can "clone" flights of say...32HE-111's with ALL HAVING THE TX SKIN!!..I need this mission tuner ASAP!!

Here is an update to the above post. I found this app via UberDemon's reply in the forums. I tried the app out and it is a quick and easy way to update/change settings in either your Dogfight maps(weather...time of day, etc) or you can use it to make several changes to CooP maps that you might have made either with FB's mission generator or with UberDemon's UberQuick mission generator. I haven't played with the skins yet on a coop map but this app looks very promising from first glance. You can do the  TX skins on ai planes without any special software. It has been in the mission builder for a while now.TX-KingsnakeWhite >+

I fooled around with SHift_E's app along with the upgraded UberDemon mission builder this afternoon. I made a map I called TX-Cuda's HE-111 MassAttack and found that I was able to make all the HE-111's load the TX skin...the pilot skin of my choice...the armament of my choice. Not really a big deal but what really impressed me was the ease of making mass flights of bombers for the Coop mission. I had a 44 bomber flight..all with TX skins flying in some sort of formation I would call a "diamond wedge"..We took out maybe half of the targets in Stalingrad before I sent the message "Target ALL"...I had a blast just crashing and watching the other bombers do their thing! I will say that I found the need to upgrade the chip/motherboard as with that many AI and targets it tended to drag the box down a bit without changing graphics settings from perfect. What made me wonder about what I was getting into was when I noticed the "max planes per mission" box was checked at 1400+ !!. It was a blast and with some tweaking on my part this might come in handy for some good Coop/DF maps.....Carpal Tunnel in my trigger finger....Rocky...TX-CUDA on UBITX-CUDA on HyperLobby
