Title: Thanks guys!
Post by: TX-Copper on November 12, 2003, 12:42:13 am
Just wanted to say thanks a bunch for letting me fly on comms with you guys, it was definately an eye opener to how professional you all handle yourselves.  The little tips you gave me are sure to better my flying.
To FlightRisk, EcoDragon and Monguse, thanks for all the help in getting me set up with the beta....your patience was greatly appreciated.  You all must be parents....lol.
You have all brought a new element to this game for me......again thanks.
Look forward to flying with you again!
Copper

S~ Copper,Thank you for taking the time and effort to get setup TX style (and thanks to Monguse, FlightRisk and Emu for making the effort also). You did well tonight, I was impressed with your comms discipline. Couple of tips: If not engaging then climb. Also keep your engine below 100% unless absolutely necessary, we tend to fly long sorties so take 50% fuel, keep the RPM low and fire short bursts on target...doing this will maximize your flight time and keep your engine ready for when you really need the power. You are welcome to continue to fly with us, be yourself and have fun. This is an evaluation period but don't be alarmed, you've already shown us some important things or you wouldn't be here. Meantime, familiarize yourself with our SOP's and be sure to listen to the recording of our training session from this past Sunday. It's a long one but very important that you understand it...this is how we operate. http://www.txsquadron.com/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=&TOPIC_ID=1164Also, please read and sign the following post:http://www.txsquadron.com/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=&TOPIC_ID=960Salute and look forward to flying with you again soon. A very deserved S~ Copper,Thanks for the kind words. I am a parent, 2 kids, girl 19 and boy 14 (currently height 5'-9"). Comms last night on HL rocked!! Best comms I've ever heard!Copper, here is another tip:When the Co (Zen) is giving out instructions, cudos or slamming someone, please watch your six. My six got slammed last night over our "safe" zone as Zen was talking.Zen, I take full responsibility for getting slammed. In the future I will avoid the aforementioned by adding a third eye.Copper great to have you on comms! S~TX-Monguse
