....just changed the frontlines..just added more RED ground targets...and changed the brief. It seems that the BLUE forces have established a port and airbase on the western side of the peninsula. The RED forces have discovered this and have landed heavy armor at their port at Yalta. There is one forward airbase that the REDs are operating from and they are trying to destroy the ships and forces at the BLUE port. The Blues have an airbase on the western corner of the area. BLUE has also gained the high ground and has some 155mm heavy arty targeting the RED airbase...as well as two or three V-1 launch ramps that General KIng von Snake has loaned us.......all planesets are pre-loaded on the map...but you will not find them as I don't want the enemy to destroy them and make the load times worse........Hosting it now 2215cdt on HL for a test......Film at 11:00TX-CudaMinister of Mayhem

the map is superb Cuda.  AAA a little heavy, to the point of you're constantly getting shot at.  Otherwise, wow!

....my thanks to those of you that joined my Crimea v0.45 test last night. It sure helps that I can go externals and watch what is going on with the ships and such. I will be making some adjustments to the map by removing some of the ships in the German harbor that were causing some map slow down with the smaller caliber AA. I watched as the 88's opened up to protect the German port and the map ran OK...UNTIL the smaller stuff on the barges/patrol craft started going off..........Hats Off to TX-Copper for persevering in the face of heavy odds while flying an IL2-T and braving the fighter cover and AA to finally sink a destroyer that was hosing the RED planes and preventing any of the cargo ships from bein sunk. Good job Copper. Also needing mention is the way that stuka17 handled his 109 as he was surely "death from above"......with a little tweaking and revisions of the brief i should have three versions of this map ready sometime this weekend..tested...and uploaded to the TX-FTP for review and scripting....then hopefully of to the TX-OC3 for general play by the masses....TX-CudaMinister of General Mayhem

...tested the new variant on Ubi AEP area last night and have had many positive comments this afternoon. I left the server up all night and checked it several times to make sure that it had not crashed and lo and behold each time I checked there were at least 5-11 pilots flying. It seems that by removing the smaller ships that have the small caliber AA that the map is much more flyable...of course you still have to watch the 88's at the BLUE area and the 85's on the RED side. I have found that low nap of the earth attacks in an IL-2 or other ground pounder seems to do the trick. I'll post some pics of the revised map her in a bit...TX-CudaMinister of Air Defense
