Ladies & Gents,
                          I just wanted to make a post about the Wings Over Houston airshow coming up (Oct 16-17th 2004).  As always...I will be going to the airshow this year.  (I wish they had more per year!)  In the past Cuda, Cuda Jr. , Deck Zen, Pappa Zen, Cage, Tornado, Razor, I and the Mrs. have gone...  I think Zen is planning to go again this year.  

                          Lets all get together again this year...  We would also like to meet other folks in the IL2 FB Community!  If you're anywhere near Houston and fly online....chime in and let us know that you'll be attending...  We can all arrange to meet somewhere at the show at a certain time!

work let me off for that weekend :)theyre pretty freekin picky as to why you cant work on weekends..sooo, i told em,(now remember..THIS IS ALL A LIE!..what i told em) "i just found out, that my family has bought me a pass to fly in a B-17 during the airshow, but they didnt know i work weekends...so my girlfriend had to spoil it for me, so i CAN request the time off..cause my family didnt know about the mandatory 2 weekend thing..."long pause...."...were really busy...how bout your regular weekend off?""because its ONLY during the airshow of the 16, and 17th, and i DONT know which day my flight is scheduled for...no refunds, and its about 300-400 bucks to do this...its once in a life time.."..long pause...." can you do it another day?""no....the airshow is ONCE A YEAR....and they only allow 5 people per  airshow day, to fly in one..thats 10 people a year....and IM one of em!"....long pause..."i guess,...."SUCKER!... yes, yes, i had to lie... but there was no way he would let me go , just because of the airshow..so i had to "make it an important reason"singin ::::lalalallaaaaaa:::::  and i get my regular weekend off too.. no swapping :)

My wife and I are planning to attend, barring any last minute issues.Bevo was talking about this a few weeks ago at work, and I know his girlfriend lives in Houston, so I imagine he'll be there too.Probably ask my brother and nephew if they want to go too.  My nephew lives in College Station which is kind of on the way from Austin.I would really like to meet everyone and although there won't be any Luftwaffe A/C, It'll be worth it to see you all! .I like the idea of a lot of TX'ers in the same place at the same time.  Wonder if Tornado or Razor might show up?Black 2

well hells bells fellas i just saw the post and thought i should give you all a heads up on my sitrep.My decade long car restoration is coming to a close very fast here...i hope i have enuff cash to drive my Trans-Am down to see you all and show off my car craftin skillz that i have been neglecting for a lil while now...Im all tagged,inspected and insured so i am ready for that H-town traffic.....AAAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!! If its anything like Big D i know now i will loathe traffic with a passion.This airshow sounds like it will be a great one,I am really looking forward to a shakedown run to Houston in the T/A before i go cruising the country looking for my next fame and fortune to come my way lol.FYI i am sitting here on crap 28.8 dial up posting this while i have been on flight restriction for almost 4 months now......granted the Pontiac is keeping me busy but i miss patroling the virtual skies with my TX bros something terrible...and getting on comms only makes it worse....so everyone say two or 3 prayers for me and i can guarantee i will be at the airshow this year !!! Rahman and others....it looks like I might have to work Saturday for the phone Co.....I would propose that we hook up on Sunday at a predetermined spot or time as a group Sunday just in case I have to work Saturday. ...." .....here is the Cuda update Rah, I'm still here at work and it looks like it is going to be an all day thing here. Vz just rolled out DSL down here and there are some bugs that need to be worked out.I have been elected(Forced) to be the crews computer guru so I am getting calls to go help out the other guys that need help with tickets that they are on........hopefully I won't have to come in Sunday so as it stands I should be able to go Sunday. well i went today, and it was pretty good.is it me?...or are acrobatic teams not as acrobatic and precision  as they used to be (blue angels, thunderbirds, other ones)they didnt really do anything to oooh and ahhhhh me... is it because of govt. regs, or accidents?i will say this......i dont know what its called in thier terms..but they did a "creeper" manuever that startled the shit out of all of us (especially those at the front next to runway/fence). never have i jumped 5 feet up, and ducked as low to the ground at the same time!

i wasnt able to go today :(i had to take care of my neice/nephew on a quick, sister in law family emergency ... i really wanted to get out again today :( and at least meet a few new faces

...sorry I was not able to make it out there this year as I was called in to work on a fiber switch that went down(and is still down). Seems that someone that had no business accessing the DSL switch did a number on it.
