Title: Dreggs' AAR
Post by: Seeker on October 14, 2002, 01:06:45 am
Greetings, my friends!

As you may or may not know, I've been at a workshop over the weekend for the purpose of improving my life and my view of myself and the world. I would like to announce that this was the most difficult and emotionally draining three days I've ever experienced. And, it was worth every second of it! I've dealt with issues that have affected me for 25 years and never knew it. I feel like a completely new man. I've discovered a passion and joy in life I never knew existed. Never thought possible. What a relief to realize all the baggage you're carrying around in your life is really just a mean trick of the mind and it's ok to toss it out with the rest of the trash. I am finally free.

I feel incredibly blessed to be alive at this moment and hope you don't mind me sharing this wonderful revelation with all of you. I am still absorbing the events of this weekend and am preparing for the second part of the process, which will be a 5 day marathon next week. I won't go into any more detail, but all I can say is, wow!

Salute!

Dreggs,Amazing to hear what you are saying! I'm glad to hear that you are coming through this with a renewed sense of purpose, I know what it feels like sometimes to look around and not see much to be hopeful for. Congratulations first and foremost on having the courage to step up and take a swing at this, there are many people who spend their entire lives without ever taking a chance and thereby miss out on so much that life has to offer. Not sure how much of your business you would like to air out in the forum, but know that you have a sympathetic ear if you would like to talk. Shoot me a PM if you like, I'll be happy to talk with you. On the subject of dirty tricks of the mind, I would have to agree that our own minds often don't do what we want them to and we are prone to adopting false views of the world. I firmly believe that in many ways, there is no reality at all, only what you make it. It may sound trite, but if you truly believe something, then thats what reality is...good or bad.
