Title: For you Historic B25 fans out there
Post by: Monguse on February 12, 2005, 05:56:29 pm
Hi guys,

Just want to let you know I've been busy. Firstly, I've been trying to rid the servers of all FW190's with my "uber-cheater" Spitfire and some of you think of my favorire ride. The other is Bravo33 and I have been documenting all of the B25's based in Corsica.

The site has received many emails from family members opf the 57th and without their help some of the skinned aircraft would have never been skinned.

So enjoy and fly them proudly.

In addition, here is the newest, B25J from the 57th Wing 340 Bomber Group 487 Bomber Squadron 7Z Shirley Ann SN 43-4031, based in Alesani, Corsica.

It's dedicated to:

Robert Meek Colonel, USAR (Ret)
Proud posthumous son and only child of
2LT Robert H. Meek 487th BS 340th BG 57th BW
KIA October 19, 1944 over the Magenta Bridge near Milan while flying as co-pilot of 7Z "Shirley Ann"
At eternal rest in the Sicily Rome American Cemetery Nettuno Italy

Original Sepia Tone Photograph

Original Vargas Watercolor

Modified Vargas onto original Sepia Tone Photograph

and the same but converted Sepia Tone to grey scale

The final result

Shirley Ann will be available for download sometime next week because Bravo and I are getting our own URL and additional web space specifically designed for historicaly based skins.

Think of it as a skin with more than just a breif sentence about the aircraft.

Hope you guys enjoy.

S~ Guse!  Great to hear from you.  Awesome skin.  Now that I have 12 or so of you B-25 skins, my biggest problem is which one to choose!  I'm stuck on the Navalized versions (wonder why?).  Note to self:Need more B-25 stick time so I can use those darn Guse skins more often.Black 2
