Let it be known to all who might ponder such a question, that while FSX is highly CPU dependant, the video card alone does make a pretty big difference.  Here is what it looks like with my old GF3 Ti200 card that is playing stand in.

but hey, at least my fps are 11. . .double digits are always good. . .and being able to read the panel only matters to those uber flight sim dorks.

I am getting around 13 fps with FSX. It is almost like the first flight sim I ever played, a wireframe view sim on the K64. In my day the computer was in the keyboard and the moniter was a tv. I had to fly with a keyboard and I was so poor I didn't have a mouse.

What kinda machine are you running on King?And Cuda, thanks again for the offer, I've decided to build a new machine at long last.
