Title: FSX Video Recording Post by: TX-ScubaSteve on May 20, 2007, 05:23:02 pm Hey Eco,
I've seen your outstanding flight videos before--including the FS2004 with the Christen Eagle, so I figure you may be able to help me with a problem I'm having. I've tried using FSX's flight video recording at both 1 sec and 1/4 sec intervals. In any case, when I play back the video, the entire replay stutters--not so much in lost frame rate it seems, but like a camera vibrating on a 2-stroke dirt bike or something. Plus, the sound is distorted. I plan to use Fraps to actually create an AVI file, but thought it would be nice to use FSX's video player so I could change camera angles without having to try to fly at the same time. You can set the recording interval, but even at the lowest interval, it's still choppy. For making movings I capture the video with FRAPS and then convert it to whatever format I want. The raw AVI files captured are quite large, which is the only downside to this method. S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX-Squadron XO
