Title: LoneStar Flight Museum Fly-In Post by: TX-CUDA on October 31, 2002, 10:00:13 pm Fellow Pilots, saw the ad today in the Chronicle for the Fall fly in down in Galveston. November 9th...B-17,B-25,Corsair,Spitfire,Hurricane,AT-6's,some version of a FockeWulf, and some others I can't recall.....this is the last fly in set for this year so if interested I will get the ad out of my home away from home (Verizon Van) and check up if I have missed any aircraft.Weather permitting this one usually has more planes coming in from other CAF squads that are not mentioned in the advertisement. The Museum is located at Scholes Field in Galveston.Take the 61st St. exit off the freeway when you get into Galveston...go down a bit after you cross Offats Bayou...and make a right....I'll get the street name for ya'll if anyone else is heading down...and it is maybe two miles further on the right....there might be directions at the Museums web page.... WWW.LSFM.ORG I know that there is a pone number that you can call during regular business hours....
....Hope to see Ya'll down there next weekend!!.... Rocky... It's great that there's a local IL-2 group. I feel pretty dumb for not finding this place sooner. For a while I flew VEF missions with the 805th ShAP, doing VEF missions, but they're in a different timezone and I suck at Russian, especially over teamspeak.

We'd love to fly wing with you, especially if you have Game Voice installed, which is what we use for squad comms during flight. TX is not actively recruiting at this time, but we welcome all to our server and always enjoy teamwork. Stop by and check us out. SaluteTX-Zen"Black 6"TX Squadron CO
