If you're seeing this it means that you have made it to our new forums!  I still have lots of work to do on the main page interface and all and the look of these new forums.  It'll be a work in progress for a while but this will eventually help us to whip TX back into shape.

New registrations will be opening back up shortly.  I just need to install the security that prevents all those damn'd bots from signing up! :D

Yeah finally!! Man I worked on this thing for about 10 hours total so far.  Was a complete pain to get the data from an access database in to the usable format that we have now.  Also, when I went to bed this morning the old site was still up but when I woke up it had an error...  I had planned to leave the original site up just for the mainpage until I got the new main page squared away but that didn't work out :P.  So...This forum will serve as the website while I work on the main page and all. 

The look of this forum will likely change as well when the time comes...  I will customize the top and probably change some colors.  We're at least on our way now... ;)

I invited Trav and Scorpion to the teamspeak channel tonight - eek its 3:30am now. Raging good time in black shark. Once we are ready, we can add some new members. What do you think?

Travesty? I certainly think so, but as most know, being a Longhorn comes with the requirement to root against the Sooners. The best explanation I saw was a student poster that said "If I thought 35>45 I'd have gone to OU".

Regarding official TX membership...I haven't been officially afilliated with a squad since the old greatergreen =TgD= days and that fairly fizzled once sammie took the server down. TX is honestly the only squad I'd consider for membership as you guys display the professionalism, skill and integrity I'd be willing to add my name to. I thought for a long time about looking for an official squad membership, but decided then to simply fly AS A GUN-FOR-HIRE so to speak. At this point, I really am interested though it may still be some time before I can be as active as I once was. Either way, I'd still put my best foot forward if it all works out.

TX has gone through some changes over the years, but the core values are the same - having a group of friends that are respectful and friendly pilots who value team play. Everything else is gravy.  Come as you are, fly what you want, in whatever sim you want, and when you can, etc. Certainly many of us are busy - but we are there when we need each other. Recruiting some new blood would be great since most of us are busy with real life, and it would be great to be able to better utilize our data center server within IL-2 etc, but we are certainly not going to impose time requirements on members - especially when it's a veteran guy that we know!  I for one think TX has a lot of history within IL-2 and that even if it's just a group of grizzled old IL-2 Veterans then so be it!  ;D

I think it is a great idea TB. You know us and we like flying with you. You go way back with Gunny and Eco.
