Post by: TX-Gunslinger on February 28, 2009, 10:17:59 pm
For maximum compatibility with TX-OC3 server and hopefully maximum new content for your enjoyment - i.e. new cockpits - new aircraft - flyable A/I, you will want to download and install from All Aircraft Aircade, the following:

U/I 1.1 files - Unified Installer 1.1. - Download all 8 files - and please read the instructions :)

U/I 1.1 patch

For those wishing to restore stock Il2-46 sounds (highly recommended), please see Gozr's technique here:

I'm planning to incorporate the following mod as well, initially just for the windsocks: http://www.allaircraftarcade.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7990&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=wind+sock

That's really great news to me.  I've noticed LAL_Rone's work over there for some time. I love his work.

You know that stuff is already in UI 1.1 right?

No, the v1 might be, but the V2 isn't. I got the package primarily to get the wind socks, but the rest of the package looks great, I have lots of new goodies in my mission builder now. . .and we have windsocks on the Anapa map, and I will add them to all the maps as time permits.

The good news is we have people log in who just had UI1.1 and they could join the map with the socks on it, they just didn't see them. They are a little funky looking but add a significant level of immersion and utility on the maps that have lots of wind! They are static objects that don't move with the wind, but they get the job done!
