Title: Opening your new ROF release - click on "About" and find......

We are immortalized :)

Thanks to all TX-beta testers for whatever level-of-effort you were able to contribute in your busy adult lives.  I'm very, very proud of my Squad, and I think you all should be too.

Special thanks from all Rise-of-Flight Squads to our own TX-Ecodragon:

Eco, your efforts, incredible expertise - experience and yes, genious - directly impacted the delicious flight model details that we will continue to enjoy for years to com.  You are the most unique individual I've ever known in my 51 years and we are all proud to call you our friend, teammate and mentor.  I want to thank you personally for "filling in" for me when I could not be there - making our TX presence known and felt in such great manner.

King - thanks for "hanging in there" - all the MP testing you contributed to....  You were an essential element in feedback.  Your software issues are 100% related to Vista.  Get rid of it, reinstall XP and enjoy the sim.  Wish I'd been able to isolate this before.

TB and Chukar:  With all you guys had going on in the "real-world" - computer systems - children - etc..  we are proud of you and feel you did all you could.

Rah:  Without your continued support, we could never have conducted all the "dedicated server" testing that we were able to.  We were the only English speaking dedicated server testers on the beta team - and I want you to know how much we truely appreciate our "privleges" here.

That’s pretty cool.   Going to have to dig my old TX  t-shirt out and wear it around …. “Yes, I am a member of TX, perhaps you’ve seen our work”    Well more appropriately the work of the Three Amigos.   I think you guys did a great job with this and made impacts that we will see in game.   Well done, you guys did yourself proud, you made the squad look good and me by association   :)

Thanks for all your time and work

S!

Yep, I plan to stop by Frys and pick it up.  However, the best computer I have ever owned, my pride and joy for the past 3 years, built with my own two hands was so humiliated by ROF that I dare not load it.  But as soon as I can get some time it’s back to the drafting room to devise my revenge for the pummeling ROF gave my box.  RIP old boy, you will be avenged.

No it is not at Frys. I had to order from gogamer. Granted it was 2 bucks cheaper at Frys online but gogamer had free shipping.

Yeah, just get it online. . GoGamer seems the fastest, I got mine at Amazon just to be spread the love around and since I'm out of town and can't play it for a while anyway I didn't care how long it took.

Chukar, is a new machine in the works??

EDIT: Here is a nice price for someone who wants to get TrackIR 5 and RoF from GoGamer! Take a look: http://www.txsquadron.com/forum/index.php?topic=2905.0

I stopped by Frys this morning and picked up ROF on the way home.  That combo deal would have been way to go since I also need to replace this TrackIR 2.   When I have some time and space to work in I will start work building the Avenger, probably some time in next month.

Yes, the "Avenger" will be the ultimate in Computer/gaming technology. With as many cores as I can stuff in it, oodles of that DDR3 stuff, a big fat video card that requires a shoe horn for insertion, a full jigawatt PS to power it all and fans that will suck the cat in if it gets to close.  Maybe even some shark teeth on the side.  Next time I run ROF, I will be the merciless master and ROF will be the one doing he squealing.   ;D
