I did my own taxes for a couple years. The last one I sent it all in thinking I'd get back about $300. There was an unusually long delay (several weeks past normal) so I finally called them. They said there was an error and they had to redo it...and sent me back over 3 grand! :o That was the last time I tried doing it myself. I don't even try to understand the tax laws these days. They are so dynamic that you have to practically be an accountant to stay current anyway. I was doing the same thing yesterday King! Finished and looked out the window and it was a nice day. What did I do instead?...fly! :D I agree with you TB. I feel one needs to go and get a degree in Tax law to do taxes these days, except Turbo Tax seems to do a good job of walking you through the process.
