After days of testing the latest beta - this thread I've linked to has my best settings, derived through testing, for at least ATI HD5000 series cards (less 5970 which is dual GPU).

Upshot:

1. Don't run ATI Tray Tools while running CoD.
2. Copy my settings in that post if your an ATI user and see how it works out
3. CoD seems a lot like RoF used to be.  The software decides the best config and it just does it.  Everything you put between the GPU and CoD executable (at this time) will piss it off :)
4. Set AA to 8X in game and Application Controlled in ATI CCC...  The more AA - the less the stutters.  Doesn't do anything to AA past Off.  Off is definetly Off.  2X/4X/8X AA don't change appearance of graphics, but make smoother gameplay.
