Wow...the AI Pilots sure got a lot better ! Even at Avg. they are blowing me out of the sky !My first ride was the LA-7 against the Hurric Field Mod. On the head to head pass he wiped my butt ! Flew the Hurrc Field Mod...kinda like a cessna with bazookas......Kinda cool how when you are dead your screen goes totally blank until your plane crashes and you get to see the bits flying...Favorite 109 is the 10 so far.Don't see any diff between the LA5 and the 7.....Same cheesey music...lolStill fun !BKB~

Let say this:Complex Engine Management is a beyaaatchIf you max everything (prop pitch, mixture, and MW50) you can count on your engine overspeeding and burning up in less than 1 minute, no joke. A nice little engine inop comes up on the screen. The neat thing when you dive with no engine, your prop starts windmilling fast enough to give you the illusion that your engine is running. Egad you say, what a hell of an E bleed in this climb. And then you get to see the bits exploding as you hit the ground, right on BK!I got smoked by two P40's set to novice while I was cruising around in my D9. Seemed like they were able to out turn, out climb and put better fire on me too, though I was afraid to go to wep for fear of the engine exploding again. Also haven't figured out the radiator, but its open by default and has 4 toggles which go to Radiator 2, 4, 6 and 8. Not sure which is the most cooling, my shat keeps burning up regardless.The FW190A5 AutoEngine management thing works...I hit auto prop pitch and it goes to 80%...mixture goes to 100%, but you can max prop to 100% and mixture to 120%.The engine throttle up is in 5% increments now instead of 10%, which is kind of annoying for me, at least til I get used to it. Also having weird sound problems...almost silent in the cockpit, can't hear the MG's firing. While flying the 262 I made a pass at a PE8, got some serious stutter then flew around in a permenant looking redout...externals were fine, cockpit view was almost gone. Maybe my guy's eye balls popped or something. So far I'm liking it, but it seems kind of, what...buggy? glitchy? not sure what to call that. TX-ZenBlack 6TX Squadron CO

Do I see any improvements that could not have been another update to IL-2?........ Nope.Are the AI now ungodly uber?....Yep.Is the P-47 a pig with wings?....Yep.Will one bullet hit from another plane put yours into a giant fireball ?...Yep.If the damage model is really this tweeked will it encourage " pray and spray " to get that one bullet hit ?...Yep.In a D-9 flying head to head against a LA7..all my guns blazing from .5 out..did I get my hat handed to me?..YepAm I overly impressed so far ?...Nope.Am I slightly disappointed ?....Yep.Is the game too new to give fair review of ?....Yep.Are there a total of 4 players online right now playing on Ubi in FB?...Yep.Are both of those games that are going set to easy ?...Yep.It has to get better....Set the AI to Ace...LMMFAO !You have not got a chance in the world....lolBKB~

Ok. . a dude at gamestop held the last copy for me. . I sat in traffic for 3 hours to get home from what is usually a 25 min drive, and finally get up to the accident and its just a tow truck loading up a car. . with everyone looking at it to see bodies perhaps??? go figurefor me its too soon to coment. I am ready to start testing her out though, so I am a go look for you that have it. I too am not feeling certain that this couldnt have been done in a couple patches. . but then again, I payed about 74 bucks for flight sim 2002 pro, and that is about what I payed for IL2 and FB. . so so I cant even attempt to complain there. Well this just bites.....I drove all over Houston last night trying to find a copy....Seems the only store to have had a copy (gamestop @ Holcombe) sold out not long before I arrived on location.......There better be some floating around here today.  BTW all the stores are blaming UPS and saying that it should have been in the stores yesterday.......Ugh!TX-CageBlack 5... end ...

SHAZBOT!Zen only bought 1 copy, anticipating that the last copy was already in the plans for somebody else.   I asked him directly yesterday if you had reserved a copy somewhere and he confirmed that you were covered.  Had I known you needed one I would have just reserved all four copies under TX-Squadron!Judging from the amount of people playing last night, is it possible that there are only roughly 50 copies of this game in circulation so far?        8|TX-Deck out.

Cage, it takes no effort to look after you.What is really going to stink is that drive to the Dallas Metroplex to get Tornado and Razor the hook up.If you find a copy today, lets try to pass the information along to Cuda as well, after talking with him last night I know he was going to actively look for one after work this afternoon.

No you didn't say anything at all actually. I realized it later and felt pretty stupid because I had put those in my base PSD first and was going to copy them over. The local GS where I had orignally reserved FB called directly after my phone lines were restored.  The got my copy in, and the wife picked it up on her lunch break.  I have reformatted...and still in the process of putting the periphials back on (GV, Cougar, TrackIR)...and should be ready to rock and roll.Good news:  FB is starting to show up at more locations.Bad news:1.  specialty shops (EB, GS, SE, Bab, etc.) they are only getting 4 copies each unless more were preordered before release date...2.  CompUSA anticipate on shelves on Friday.3.  Best Buy and Wal-Mart...well what can I say...they need to get organized or atleast get their shat together...TX-CageBlack 5... end ...

Outstanding Cage, good news!Zen and I have been tossing around the logistics of the installation on to our glorious TX-OC3, but haven't come up with anything final as of yet.   The main obstacle is locating another copy, and with time it will become easier I guess.BTW... did I mention I'm off LOA now?    ;)TX-Deck out.

If we can get a copy in Houston, we are cleared by our host to install FB on the server Friday after work. I still don't have a good line on a store with FB, but as soon as I do I'm heading over the upgrade. Cross your fingers, minimum specs indicate an 800mhz proc and we're running on a dual 600. Chukar's wife picked his up yesterday  Good news is that Chukar survived another round of layoffs  Bad news is that now Chukar has to pull double shifts  Chukar loaded FB but is to tired to play.In-laws coming tomorrow, at least 6-8 guests will be staying over the weekend, some longer.  They are bringing broken PC's with them to be repaired.  Chukar just wants to play FB but it's not looking good  TX-ChukarBlue 1
