Had it with Adelphia. Crappy sppeds starting again. Speed tests are in the 300~400/100 ranges for 42.00 per month.....Called and discontinued as of tonight. Will look for a replacement but outlook does not look too bright. Will see you guys again when I can.

Seems my major problem is I am 13,090 feet from their setup point and even for a 1500/768 line they say I would probably be in the 256/256 range. And they can't guarntee me ANY speed quote....only they will give me the best that they can from that speed option plan.And that is for $69.95 a month with a company called " Speakeasy ".Almost everyone else says I will get 128/128 with those distances away from the main box for from $39.95 to $99.99 per mo.Yeah right..where DO I sign up ?~S~BK

BK , you just got here again !Aaargh , well , I undestand completely though. How about microwaves ? They got satellite service available there ? From what I have read about Sat, latency is NOT measured in Millaseconds..it's measured in SECONDS !!!. Latency with Wireless is way too bad for any on-line games. I had a DSS company come out and survey my site for installation. After he asked me what I wanted it for and I told him mostly for an Air Combat On-line games..he told me to forget about it.plus for 1500/383 it's 199.99 per mo......I like you guys..but not that much.......Update:Just got off the phone with Speakeasy...only deal in town basically...Got the 1500/768 package for $69.95 per mo ( here comes the bad news..after 5 mos it goes up to $99.95 per mos ) They said 8 to 10 biz days to be up and running...The gent I spoke with ( Spencer ) said that I should get 90 to 95% of the advertised speeds and that I only need to worry if I am over 15,000 feet awy from their hub. Plus I have 25 days to test drive it..if the speeds suck..they go bye-bye and no charge.Just received an email from speakeasy telling me that my vendor telephone delivery date will be next Wed. 5 days from order till up time..sounds good to me....We'll see...~S~BK
