Title: A heartfelt salute to the TX Post by: LW_Crewchief on May 21, 2003, 10:19:39 pm S~ TX,
First off.. let me express my sadness to see Zen step down as Co. Sir you have led the TX squad with complete dedication and honor. You've made the TX a respected squad and have built an admired name for the TX in the IL2 community.. Zen, I personally thank you for all of your effort, support and friendship in the past... it has been much appreciated :) Next.. CONGRATULATIONS are in order for the new TX CO and XO.. Kingsnake, Eco and I go back a long way and I look forward to rekindling the friendships between our squads. The TX are in very capable hands and I SALUTE the new leadership. The TX are always welcome to join any DF's or Coop's that the LW may be running in UBI and look forward to seeing you in the skies above UBIland, it would allow the new members in both squads the opportunity to get to know each other better. LW_Crewchief_CO... steps back, stands at attention and smartly salutes the outgoing TX CO and the incoming CO and XO.... ~SALUTE~ Warmest Regards, Crew :) ![]() The Lone Wolves FLight Squadron: http://webpages.charter.net/crewchief1/Lonewolves/lonewolves.html Title: Re: A heartfelt salute to the TX Post by: TX-EcoDragon on May 22, 2003, 12:38:11 pm S! to the Chief!Yeah, I think many of us miss the venerable and Deck and Zen. . .(im just counting on the Ta-152 to grab hold of Zen and yank him back into virtual reality despite the becconings of the real world) Those two really toughed out a long road, and with the OC-3, the PSD's, the perpetual CUDA and Tornado P&R group, did so much to help the community, and all of those things were put in motion at the top levels. . .one more S! to the people who I still think of as Black 1 and Black 6 (well. . ok. . Zen still is Black 6 . . . but you know)And thanks for the congrats! Its an honor for me just being in this squad, and its nice having a little XO to add to my name. . .even though I dont act in any real diferent fashion. ;-)Of course the reciprocal applies to the LW regarding any TX server or game. Although im sure this is fundementally obvious, I would like us to introduce the new blood of LW to the new blood of the TX. Both of our squads have a collective face now that is changed since the times when we used to all fly the same servers, and get on GV together. I for one would love it for you to pop into GV here and there and say wazzup. . .its the usual pass. Of course when we get our squads scrimming we might need to throw you guys in the "dog house" gv channel. . . But lets do it man! I think some big coops, big races (some formidable racers in the LW) and some official scrimms would all be great fun for both of our groups, and this would add that old dimension of community we used to have back in. Im not sure if the shift occured, or was set in motion because of the actions of one confused person in that other group, but lets collectivelly vanquish that demon. Regarding those old rules that caused some friction between that group and TX, I think the current LW understand the concept, and arent going to see anything too offensive . . . . well. . .ill turn off external views ;-)I for one still feel like im a member of a group, I might not visualize it as the LW. . but You Carp, Blue-Max, Mudslinger, Marko, and MajorGunsall still feel like distant wingmen. . err. .. persons(smoke, lights, crescendo of dramatic music)As XO and with the powers that that confers to me I hereby ask my fellow TX to make this happen! S! to the Wolfpack, and as an aside Crew, you guys made a brilliant squad that seems rock solid and I congratulate you Carp and the others that reformulated and reconstructed the squad you wanted to be a part of. . . and kept it that way! (but say. . .looking at your roster I feel sorta like we need some international blood infusion!)S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX Squadron XO

Title: Re: A heartfelt salute to the TX Post by: TX-CUDA on May 22, 2003, 07:30:58 pm ....I Salut You LW_CrewChief!! To the new members of TX Squadron this is one person that I hold in the utmost regard. Ever since I started flying IL-2 way back when...forgot how far back that was!...CrewChief has been one of the pilots that I always had a blast flying with. He was there when I needed him either as a wingman or offline when a tragedy befell(sp) the IL2 Community. If there is one person that is not a TX member that I might want to call and ask some advice of I know that I can count on him. I also go pretty far back with some of the other members of LW that TX-Eco mentioned...probably farther than he does..But the Lone Wolves are a very good and capable bunch of pilots...strike that...People...They fly and act with the utmost of courtesy and will be glad to help you out if they can.......get to know them as I do..and you will see a great bunch of people that enjoy flying in this virtual sim as we do.....B~Rocky...TX-CUDA on UBITX-CUDA on HyperLobby
Title: Re: A heartfelt salute to the TX Post by: TX-Chukar on May 22, 2003, 07:48:45 pm Hey my home boy, how you been. I do agree, we definitely need to get the squads together to shoot each other – what better way to get acquainted and make new friends. I noticed the LW’s are supported by a large contingent of British pilots now, do I smell Hurri’s? Anyway it’s good to hear from you again.Salute to LW_Chiewchief TX-ChukarBlue 1
