I was looking for it too all day today. Yesterday it said I was in the game while I was looking at D.Stats so you go figure....... But on the plus side my ping was down under 200 for about 5 mins ....The Atlas route sucks the big green weenie..once I get on their routers my ping goes over 800 and then back down.This is one of my better trace routes to the server.....Tracing route to (66.28.71.18):Hop# Avgms Loss% Graph Address 1          8                         10.233.224.1 2          7                         24.130.64.85 (bar01-p3-1.cypshe1.ca.attbb.net) 3          9                         24.130.2.249 (bar01-d4-0.cmtnhe1.ca.attbb.net) 4          9                         24.130.0.182 (bar01-p4-0.lsanhe6.ca.attbb.net) 5          10                       24.130.0.186 (bic02-p2-0.lsanhe3.ca.attbb.net) 6          31                       24.130.0.62 (bic01-p4-0.lsanhe3.ca.attbb.net) 7          11                       12.119.9.5 8          18                       12.123.199.233 (tbr1-p012802.la2ca.ip.att.net) 9          17                       12.122.10.25 (tbr2-cl3.sffca.ip.att.net) 10        17                      12.123.13.69 (ggr1-p370.sffca.ip.att.net) 11        576                    154.54.11.1 (p1-1.pr01.sfo01.atlas.psi.net) 12        205                    154.54.1.41 (p11-core02.sfo01.atlas.cogentco.com) 13        196                    66.28.4.129 (p15-ore01.den01.atlas.cogentco.com) 14        197                    66.28.4.30 (p5-0.core01.mci01.atlas.cogentco.com) 15        209                    66.28.5.94 (g50.ba01.b005948-atlas.cogentco.com) 16        194                    66.28.21.186 (Net_Gamer.demarc.cogentco.com) 17        202                    66.28.71.18 ()          ~S~BK

The server went down while I was playing last night around 4:00am. Those on the stats board are who were in it when it crashed. Seems it's still down.BTW, I'm still here. I've just been keeping some very odd hours lately. Summer is bliss.TX-SeekerBlack 4

Well looks like you found the problem but now the big question, how do you route to a different path?TX-ChukarBlue 1

To get to the server I go from La Mirada to San Francisco...to Washington D.C. BACK to San Francisco..to Denver and then to Kansas City ????Makes sence to me.....~S~BK

Unfortunately, once the packet leaves your ISP, there is no control over the routing.  I looked into this heavily back in '99 and discovered that it isn't really possible to re-route the packets.Bloot!TX-Deck out.

The ISP's routers should be routing you based on their routing tables.  The router should also be rating all those active links and then route you to the link with the fewest hops and the best time.Only two reasons I can think of why it runs the way it does.  One, for some reason they are forcing the routing to the Atlas routers for buget or maintenance problems.  Or two, they are not very good at what they do and either they don't know or they just don't give a rats ars.   TX-ChukarBlue 1

I did a few trace routes myself and found that the atlas routers were consistently the highest pings in the trace. Although it wasn't that bad at around 80ms...it was still much higher than the others which were around 30ms or less. They must have some sucky hardware.  But, I did get a fairly straight connection to the server. No intercontinental hops.TX-Seeker

Greetings all from the salt water soaked netherlands by the Bay. Jusat had a chance to get on here while taking a break in the CO and was reading these posts.Until I get my stuff hooked up I can try and tackle the 1944 map and have it ready possibly before I get back online. Saw a hardhead catfish stuck in this lady's front door just a while ago...three feet of salt water in her house is not good for static free phone service...and her hard drive won't work with salt crystals clogging the heads!..See Ya'll Soon....S~!Rocky...TX-CUDA on UBITX-CUDA on HyperLobby

King, how about the Battle of Seelow Heights, April 16, 1945, predawn.  This was the last German hope of holding off the Russian advance to Berlin. http://zhukov.mitsi.com/Seelow.htmI will do this if you want. I just need some help on what aircraft to include...'44-'45 only, or all planes up to that point?  To make it more accurate, I'm trying to look up what planes/armor were employed in 1945 by the 3rd & 9th Panzer Army (Army Group Vistula) led by Gen. Heinrici and from the 1st Belorussian Front? of Marshal Zhukov. From what I can gather, Heinrici had air support from Jagdgeschwader 52&54 and Stukageschwader 2. Still searching for VVS elements...TX-Seeker
