Hi all,First of all, i would like to thank you for participating. We had an extremely good turnout. These events are sometimes hard to organise, and this one didn't have much notice, yet not only did we get lots of pilots turning up, by some freak of luck, red and blue team had very evenly balanced numbers for the whole match! Great stuff.I also want to thank the participants for showing great patience while we were trying to get the server up and running. Sorry it took so long, but arrow not showing up threw us into turmoil for awhile there. Again thanks to TX for saving the day.-------------------------------------------DEBRIEFING:As the sun rose over the eastern front, the Luftwaffe set off in hazy conditions on a desperate mission to knock out a near VVS bomber base. But the VVS seemed to be on full alert as they were not caught off guard by the surprise raid. The scene was set for some exhilerating combat in the skies of the eastern front! There were going to be two categories of victory, but in light of some of the rule breaches that occurred I think its best not to declare any 'victors'. There were planes spawning before they should have, planes not disengaging after ceasefire was called, pilots from outside the DEY/LW/TX squads joining and in some cases participating in battle briefly. I'm sure most of these rule breaches were not intentional, but rather just part of the chaos associated with running the event. So, instead of victors, lets just say we're all winners for participating and having a good time!!!  The general result for the tourney was that DEY squad achieved more of the mission objective, and LW/TX alliance scored more points. While I was moderating, I saw some great combat happening, and from the feedback I've seen so far, it seems most if not all had a great time.I think we can consider the event a good learning experience for all of us, both in terms of game tactics, and in terms of running these events. For those that participated (and anyone else whos interested), I have put together some screenshots depicting some of the action-http://members.optusnet.com.au/scull/DEY_LW_TX_memorial_screenies.zipEnjoy!!!!If anyone has any stories, screenshots or feedback related to the tourney, I'm sure we'd all luv to see them.S!Scull

Agreed, many thanks to TX for their participation and server use.  Special mention to TX-EcoDragon for setting up and running the server.  Without TX I think the event would have been a flop.  As it was, I think everyone enjoyed themselves and some great battles were to be had.  We should do that again sometime!S!
