Monguse--thanks a million for helping everyone out here. I was thinking to myself earlier today that I SHOULD HAVE POSTED THE CODEC LINK!!! I really would have chosen another compression format, but Xvid worked out best for the opening "old age" shot.If anyone else has a problem yet, please post to this thread and I'll try to help ya....Thanks everyone for the kind words on the film. I believe my true inspiration for virtual film-making came from watching Stalingrad 1942 earlier this year. I still have it loaded to my hard drive!--ShadowSix

So who can I count on in here?I know of a few TX members plus others outside the squad who will participate, just wondering about the rest. ( Just say "I" ! )I will have practice sessions for the mission Fri and Sat night, Oct. 17 and 18 around 9pm ET on HyperLobby for those who are interested. The room name will be "Pe-8 Mission". Please feel free to join at any time--no password to room. I would suggest to attend the practice missions if you plan on being there Sunday night with us.Thanks all--ShadowSix

IL2 Community / IL2 Announcements / FB movie trailer release
|
on: October 13, 2003, 09:43:10 pm

Hello all, I am releasing my trailer for my next FB film "Red Stars Over Berlin". The trailer is about 5.5mb and is in a low-res .wmv format. This film is based on an actual Pe-8 bombing raid on Berlin that took place in August, 1941. The story behind this mission can be found at: http://zhukov.mitsi.com/sovietbombers.htmThe full movie is incomplete and I would like to film the bombing sequence to the film as an on-line, IL-2 FB community project with members taking part as virtual Pe-8 pilots. The mission itself will tentatively take place on Sunday, October 19 at around 9pm Eastern Time on HYPERLOBBY. For more info, send an e-mail to me at the address at the end of the film. Just to let you know from the beginning, I would like players to have a broadband connection and be within a relative close ping range to my location ( Pennsylvania USA ). In your e-mail indicate your connection and location. Thank you. You can get the trailer here: http://home.comcast.net/~obrien110/rsob_trailer.wmvLooking forward to as many as 14 pilots for this mission. Please feel free to post any comments or suggestions. --ShadowSix

BK--looks like you're gonna be busy churning out the German Luftwaffe. Can't wait to see the pics...Rahman--I'll have to check out the those printable decal sheets. Where did you get them from? This makes me wanna go back into model building again! Perhaps when I get through my next virtual film, maybe.....Lol.--ShadowSix

Hi all--I'm gonna need about 8 to 10 Pe-8 pilots for a mission that I plan on recording for a virtual film. I would like to do this mission on MONDAY NIGHT, SEPT 15 at 9pm EST on UBI.COM.
We had to scrub Sunday nite's mission.
Ask me for the game password in the ubi.com lobby.
Thanks for the consideration! --ShadowSix
