Rahman,  I have looked at their hosting service as well.  To get the same machine config i am getting it will cost me the same except there i will have a setup fee.  At the datacenter i have purchased at now, i have no setup fees and it runs teh same pricewise.  Thanks for the heads up though.sparx

Just a little more info on what i have in mind if we can get this new hosting.  The server should be more then enough to run two dedicated scripted servers on.  I intend on running one server just like the the current server. Nothing will change with that one.  But the second server i plan on making it passworded for use by donating players only.  On this server we could do alot of different things.  Set up different missions, settings, just about anything.  Some thoughts that come to mind are, we could have some nights that are historical based battles, or we could run some sort of leauge.  Just about anything.  I will leave this up the the donating players.  Everyone could come up with ideas and we could go from there.    I'll keep posting as i come up with ideas or as ideas are brought to me.S! againSPaRX

Just wanted to drop in and give a big S! and thank you to Zen for helping me with keeping the server going.  I sincerely hope that this will all work out in the end and the server can keep going.  I have strived to create a server that the community will enjoy, and i think its done just that.  I have tried my best to listen to what the community wants and what they look for in a server.  With that i have made every decision based on this information.  But as you all know, hosting servers is expensive.  The current link the server is on will not be availible much longer and I need to find a new host.  As you TX guys know, hosting costs are large.  If times were different, i would have no problem at all covering the costs, but i cannot at this time.  So now i am turning to the flight sim community.  If you enjoy the serve and want it to stay around, please dontate to the hosting costs.  The more people that donate, the easier this is going to be.  The server gets somewhere around 200+ players a day on it.  If each of these players donated simply $10, this would fund the hosting costs for well over a year.  And i dont mean $10 a month, i mean simply a one time donation of $10 from around 200 player.  Now i know that i am living in a dream world and that no where near 200 people will donate, but i am just using this example to show how if the masses join together, its a small amount per person.  This is a great community and i can only hope that we can all ban together and make this happen.

I am going to try and make some clearer instructions as opposed to whats on UBI forums right now.

1. Download and install Ubi game service is you dont already have it installed
    http://gamingzone.ubisoft.com/packages/GameService.exe

2. Download http://www.rmutt.netfirms.com/FBServer.zip

3. Create a folder in your IL2 FB dir called /launcher

4.  Extract the FBserver.zip into your /launcher folder

5.  Double click on Fbserver.exe goto options/preferences and IL2 FB game path (box at the bottom of window) to the orginal il2fb.exe in your IL2 install dir.  You will have to type this in manually.  When you are done click save.

(by default: C:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles\il2fb.exe)

5.  Rename the FBserver.exe in your /launcher folder to il2fb.exe

6.  Go into your il2 fb dir and rename your il2fb.exe as il2fb_temp.exe

7.  Now, start HL and hit connect, it should tell you that it cannot find the il2fb.exe.  Point HL to the il2fb.exe in your /launcher folder and press Save (not search).

(by default:C:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles\Launcher\il2fb.exe)

8.  Now go back to your original il2fb.exe that you renamed to il2fb_temp.exe and change it back to il2fb.exe.

  Thats all there is to it.  A word of caution.  Just pay very good attention when you are typing in and it will go smooth.

Hope this clarifies this.  Its not too hard to do.  Most of the problems people are having when doing this is typos.
