Eco,
Any ideas man?  If I unplug my stick the rudder works.  Plug the stick back in and it doesn't!?

Stumped...

I've heard of the reverse being true--at least the reverse happened to me with IL-2.  In any case, it could be that your stick is configured as "controller#0" in windows--kind of like the default, and it might be over-riding the axis of the rudder pedals (controller#1?), because of similar axis' names.   You're probably already aware of this, but try going into IL-2's control menu and activating the rudder pedals under the corresponding rudder axis controls.  Click on it, then move your rudder pedals, you should notice that instead of seeing a simple axis name show up, you'll see the controller (Rudder Pedals: controller#1?) and the axis of that controller you just activated, show up in the same field next to the rudder axis entry.  It seems that by default, IL-2 only maps in whatever controller is window's #0, unless you otherwise remap the axis.TX-ScubaSteveWhite 4

Well, it sounds like either the new ID must be mapped, or maybe there are two axes on the same assignment. If you have it all plugged in, calibrate and confirm everything is working, then load IL-2 and go into hardware, then remap all the axes under Joystick or HOTAS or whatever that last section is named (there is also a rudder input item for the keyboard), and verify that the keyboard rudder input, and any other axis are not assigned to rudder, and after all that, it still doesn't work, I'd wonder about the joystick cable. IL-2 will freak out if there is an interruption of the connection to either controller.I guess if each one works well alone, but not together, that it's not that either. Normally, if you have the stick working, and add the rudder pedals, the rudder takes on the new primary controller ID, and this of course means you have to remap everything. . .and you have to verify that there is only a single axis on each assignment. Also, If a rotary or axis is spiking a little, that can contaminate another axis.  Maybe you should try that IL-2 Sticks program.S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX-Squadron XO
