...Thanks for the link Tornado! That short vid brought back some memories as where the 130 stopped after catching the three wire was just above where my Avionics shop was located on the Forrestal! How many hours...days.....months...I used to hear those damn things screeching as the Phantoms,A-6's,and "Hoovers" grabbed the wire. And get this...after listening to the wire all night... if I stayed in the shop and not working the flight deck...our berthing compartment was srt just in front of the water brakes on the forward cats! For eight months back in '77 I watched a piece of paint peel back just a little bit more every time that #1 Cat went off......I have the paint chip in a bag that I added to my second cruise book..My son Eric will appreciate it as well as the story that goes along with it!Good to see ya here T...S~!TX-CudaMinister of Information
