So I finally got around to running a benchmark on my system.  At stock with auto configurations and the memory is running at 1333.   The 3Dmark06 score was 18,770 which is almost identical to TB’s 920 build almost a year ago with the Nvidia 285 black.  With a quick OC to 4.2 ghz it scored 26,060.  That happens to be about the same as one of Eco’s I7, 4.2 ghz build with the two Nvidia 260s just to compare.   The OC was a real quick one just to see what it was capable of.  Just bumping the bclk, CPU v and Dram v. everything else was auto or disabled.  While stable it was running to hot to keep it there.  Maybe some tweaking and I’ll find a good medium to run at.   I wanted a 6G SD drive but the little Angle on my shoulder said it was too much your kids need shoes, but then again the little devil got a sound card he didn't need,  Hell summers coming they can make those shoes last.

Anyway about the board, I have no real complaints,  Fits a big cooler easily, the GPU fits nicely, lots of OC options.

mb    Asus P6X58D
cpu   I7 920

gpu   Sapphire 5870 1GB 850 mhz
hd     WD 1 TB Black
sc     X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty
ps     Corsair TX 850
case CM ATCS 840

Good..
3Dmark06 score on free version do not take in the SLI system if i recall correctly. It will count as just one card.

You can compare with this one i did long ago and just with 8800 GTS.. woot !

All on the tuning !

Rha you'll be happy with what you will get..

Sa...weeet!

Run that biotch through some RoF at high def and max settings to see what it looks like.  Wink

If you can set it and leave it in the 3.4-3.8ghz range you'll be a happy camper.

Ok Gents...I brought the eVGA board back at lunch today and picked up the ASUS P6X58D Premium.  I'm still lacking memory, storage, GPU ,optical drive, sound and a case.  Working on it though....thanks for the suggestions!!  Will post more as I get more! Smiley

It's slow as she goes here...  I also just bought a popup camper for the family...  We want the kids to have more memories than "Well...we watched alot of TV...."  So... Some of the cash I had allocated to a new machine I had to spend putting a hitch on the wife's car, etc..

You will be very happy with that board Rahman !!!

I just recently built a new box for Rise of Flight with the same board as you and Chukar:

mb    Asus P6X58D Premium
cpu   I7 980Xtreme (currently @ 3.85-4.15Ghz - my first OC, and without even upping the voltage - just multiplier)
hs     CoolerMaster V8
ram   12Gb DDR3 @1600
gpu   eVGA GTX 295 Co-Op
hdd(s)
c:\ = WD 300 VelociRaptor;
d:\ = Corsair 60GB SSD (ROF Only);
e:\ = WD 1 TB Black

sc     on board
ps     Antec 1200W
case CM HAF-X

It's a great board!
You're going to love it!
