To all,

This is not an endorsement. I was given this link while playing in HL.

From what I can see it's relatively inexpensive. One of the guys in the office is planning on buying a set. I'll post his findings.

As a point of information. Years ago when shutter glasses were in their infancy they cost around $600.00 each.

Also, I could imagine these glasses being used in the Architectural field

I have a pair...With IL2 they worked great...  Since FB I've pretty much tossed them to the heap.  Cannot get it to look right....  BTW...if you have a flat panel you cannot use these.  Also...make sure that your monitor can do higher refresh rates like 100hz or higher... 120 is listed as optimum.Regards,TX-Rahman"Black Something"

Never heard anything good about them. . well. . unless im reading an advert.Low refresh rates, poor image quality, major headaches for most users. . . not my thang. MY Gainward vid card came with a pair, I didnt even bother to try them after reading everything I did about them. Perhaps I wish I had so that I could at least add my own .02 but now that card has been RMA'd.S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX Squadron XO

I have a pair. They are very very cool for 3d-work. The problem with using the 3d stereo glasses with flightsims is one of depth of field or focal length. With most 3d work you are looking at objects within a relativly short distance from one another. I found looking at my instrument pannel at under 1 meter then looking at the ground at 1000 meters then looking at a plane 2000 meters away caused my eyes to adjust focal distance accordingly. That didn't happen fast enough and it got blurry. The glasses also require keyboard input to calibrate and focus. For first person games where the distances are short the glasses were nifty. Another problem was that the refresh rate is effectivly reduced because it blocks out one eye while displaying the p.o.v. to the opposite eye. This inturn requires a very high refresh rate and processing time. Any stutter caused an alarming discomfort. Great idea for games and 3d-work, but I'm not yet impressed with the aplication to flight.TX-KingsnakeWhite 1
