Actually Deck, never thought about those even being in the pic. My box is to the right of those and it keeps me from accidently kicking it. All that is ammo so its pretty solid. The stain thing ....well you are right. I could have stained the whole thing but I knew there would be questions so it will help me point out where things are and which parts are one unit as well as what actually slides as a unit. Update!!!!.....Each stained section is a single unit that slides on a ball bearing track. I have the wires there (note the light green and white one next to the small gear) for the parking brake on off switch. To be put on later. The actual pedals control the toe brakes and you actually push the rudders with the back or bottom of the toe brakes. This unit works very well. Slick as glass. I ended up spending about $45.00 U.S. on everything. Apparently in europe 25.00 U.S. goes a lot farther than in the U.S.. Either way if it was $75.00 I would have done it. The wood does not usually go bad and the slides are steel. The pots for it cost $3.50 Each so If one goes down its a 20 minute repair and I am out $3.50.S~TX-FlightRisk Black 3

Just wanted to add that after a couple of days the pedals have loosened up nicely. My gunnery has improved with them as well because it is much easier for me to adjust the foot rudder a very small amount to make the shot line up rather than twisting the heck out of a stick and overcompensating and then overcorrecting the thing trying to get the nose back in a hair just to get a good shot. Anyway they are doing very nicely.S~TX-FlightRisk Black 3

You think you could take these and make them work?? They would be practically free. http://www.barnstormers.com/bones020602/bones020602-19.htmlS!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX Squadron XO

Great idea Eco. Rah should look at that boneyard page for ideas on his cockpit. I have gone to the aircraft surplus yards to find cool parts. I always ended up with a basket full of goodies, parts from old military aircraft, neet dials, wheels, stainless hoses and titanium fasteners. When I tried to make something it was like having peanut butter and no jelly, or milk and no cereal. The 2x4s just don't speak the same language as the titanium fasteners. At that point I was trying to mix a carpenter with a machinist. To put those cessna rudder pedals into action you need a tap set, metal lathe, and a tig welder. I've had many an inspired endeavor result in a collection of fetish items for display instead of a functional apparatus.TX-KingsnakeWhite >+Commanding Officer

Hi there FlightRisk!

It looks like you photos were hosted somewhere else so unfortunately the TX server won't have them stored on it. For example, the URL for your first photo is http://home.insightbb.com/~r.d.sizemore/pedals1.jpg

Thanks to Rahman's hard work our forums were brought up to snuff with much newer and better forum code. . .it's certainly different though isn't it!

I am back to being a nurse. Left the IT world and life is much better. lots less stress. getting ready to move into a nice place and I now once again (first time in a couple of years) have high speed broadband... So I just need to fix me up a gaming rig.
