As I've said for weeks, regularly:
I'm in for a monthly contribution and for whatever "seed" I can pull together to get this off the ground.
I can't imagine that we are all going to pitch in 25$ and magically everything will just "happen". With four of us that's only $100.
Seems like this will require more than that in startup.

First, let me say that Rahman is not interested in switching datacenters, but just for the sake of having a little info so we can start thinking about what sorts of costs are out there, I just got a PM over a SimHQ with the following link:
http://www.serverbeach.com/servers/index.php?category=allServerbeach has this dealio going on right now.
Q9400 2GB ram 2000 GB/Month
I've used them before. The Texas datacenter worked for my BF1942 clan.
$129/month +$10 for windows to run Dserver.
If you chat with them sometimes you can get them to knock some money off.
Also, I just looked the above server package but made it 4GB of RAM, WinServer2003, and the 100MBit port instead of ten, and after those things add to the monthly costs pretty quick - about 40-50 bucks right there.

I did not think that was cost prohibitive - however I could be missing something. After 5 years of "using other peoples servers" I must say that it would be refreshing for those who contribute to be able to admin so that basic admin responsibilities don't fall on just 1 or 2 personnel.
By basic admin - I mean:
1) restarting teamspeak
2) reconfiguring missions or settings
3) rebooting when necessary
If we all pay our share, and accept a little additional responsiblity - then 4 to 6 "core personnel" can actually achieve self-sufficiency in keeping things going - AND "having some sort of life beyond the computer".
