I seem to recall something mentioned about it in the original IL2 user manual.  I'd go confirm, but that means I'd have to get up, walk to the cabinet, etc. etc. etc.......:)TX-Deck out.

Straight out of IL2 Sturmovik user manual:Special FeatureHow to make air trains of the He111z with glider Me321 or Li2 with glider G11.1. Set all waypoints for the flight of the He111z (or Li2).2. Set ONLY ONE waypoint for glider Me-321 (or G11) and locate the waypoint close to the FIRST waypoint of He111z (or Li2).3. Set target object of the Me321 (G11) first waypoint to the first He111z (Li2) waypoint.4. Don't set any waypoints other than the first for the glider (Me321 or G11).  The glider will follow the plane automatically.5.  You can set these first waypoints for both planes and gliders in the air on the ground (take off).NOTE:  The air trains can't land.  If you set the landing waypoint for the plane, the glider will disconnect and try to find an area for landing.  When you carry out such missions, you should remember that only in the test flights can you get the right result and the glider will make the right landing (not in a forest ot a city for example).  The glider does not use the engine and will merely glide to the closest free area, if there is one.TX-CageBlack 5... end ...
