OK, here's the scoop.
2 *separate* machines....FB is patched to 1.11
I fly any mission with an IL-2 in it, and the sounds start to faaaaadde out until it is just static. Until I hit any kind of external view, or the ESC key with options.
Note that no OTHER plane does this. In same, or other, missions.

Any suggestions?

{pulls out the CD's} Going for a full re-install now....

Yeah, look real close.... you see that?{the word qwerty is visible on Bill's forehead, from beating himself silly with the keyboard.}Dang if I didn't just waste 3 hours for nuttin. Stupid IL-2. Who wants to fly that piece o' junk anyway. {Bill reaches over and slaps the joystick away...} Thanks for the heads-up. I'm just gonna disable the sound, and start making noises with my mouth. Probably more satisfying. ~Bill

Bill,I've been generating sound effects by mouth for over a year now, and while quite disturbing to the wife and kids and the occasional house guest, it is very realistic and gratifying. You should hear the sound of the Stuka as she pulls into a dive-bomb run from 4K.TX-Deck out.

Yeah I’ve heard Rah do it too when he forgets and accidentally presses the mike button.  He blames it on his parrot but I know better.

I know Bill, he may just do that, heck, when he plays  Ghost Recon you can almost hear his..."Bang,Bang, Bang".......BOOOOM (that would be a frag).....It must drive his neighbors crazy. Now, that his sound won't work right in FB, I can imagine all the airplane sounds he's making.......TX-BomblastRed2

Guys, The RC01 sound files fixed this issue. Leaving it at that, as there are several other issues that the sound engine has, hehheh. ~Bill

...You guys make the noises yourself?? I have some Halloween candy that I scammed from the neighborhood kids.(Give me two and I'll give you three pecans) and I have two munchkins that with a handfull of Reeses' Cups and some Atomic Fireballs I can plop down on either side of the monitor..fire up FB..and have all the gun and plane effects I need. I need to get them to work on the Ki84 power dive from 7K and the machine guns from the B-17 and they will be able to do the sound track for the next Kingsnake video spectactular!!..just joking...Carpal Tunnel in my trigger finger....Rocky...TX-CUDA on UBITX-CUDA on HyperLobby
