Great movie, I really enjoyed watching it.   I think that many movies these days are revisiting WWII and stringing in some of the more famous stories into an environment or setting where they might not have really occured, but Boy Howdy it really makes for some good movie footage.Your right Rahman, I noticed that about Call of Duty as well.   Seems like there is a little bit of The Big Red One, Saving Private Ryan, Enemy at the Gates, Band of Brothers... all wrapped into one.    If we could ever get Zen in to one of those tank scenes, you could even say there is some resemblence to Kelly's Heros.Enemy at the Gates is a good watch... I agree with the recommendation.TX-Deck out.

I enjoyed the movie too, saw it a while ago but my main complaint was how the sniper duels were portrayed, not very realistic. Realistic is the same as boring to Hollywood, so I can see why they always follow the same path, but I'd like to see a tight movie for once, kind of like Blackhawk Down, which is probably the only movie I'd give a serious award for realism to. That movie is just about spot on for what small unit tactics are like, even down to the waddle those guys do when running and the way they fall down, roll and keep on running. Thats what it's like with 30 to 70 pounds of gear weighing you down. Contrast that to Tears of the Sun with Bruce Willis and that fine Italian lady from Matrix Reloaded...(w00t to the girl!)...the story is good, the cinematography is nice but the combat is just plain dumb. Amazingly they had an ex Navy Seal do the combat directing and put the guys through some basic training stuff. For some reason it just didn't come out right. Another well done movie (while we're on the subject of realism) is Das Boat with Jurgen Prochnow. It's based on U338 commanded by a mighty fellow named Kinsel...the multi hour depth charge attacks are a spin off of what Kinsel endured during an episode against 3 allied destroyers. He sank a pair of ships on his first attack coming in on the surface under the moon light, got counter attacked by the destroyers and spent the next 6 hours evading one of the worst barrages the Kriegsmarine had experienced. During that time he managed to successfully sink one more transport, then retired unable to surface due to internal flooding from the attack. The next night, still too flooded to surface and only able to make 3 or 4 knots, he managed to position himself ahead of the convey and sank another. Now that's determination. Back on topic, I found Enemy at the Gates to be a good story though and it's fairly close to the real story of Zeigtgeff (sp?)....I recommend it also.TX-ZenBlack 6

I read a book, War of the Rats a few weeks ago that was basically the same as Enemy at the Gates, based on Zaitsev's snipering in Stalingrad and the German countersniper sent to kill him. All the charcters are the same in both versions since this is based on real events, though the chick Tanya was an American in the book.It was funny, I watch Enemy at the Gates the same day I played the Stalingrad level in COD. Had no idea it would have much of the same action. kinda cool.
