Mp44 Stg44 SturmGewehr (Storm Rifle aka Assault)Caliber is 7.92x31 Kurz (short) I may be off on the later portion of the Caliberbeen awhile since I studied it Supposedly a fairly potent short range weapon, and of course boasted 30 rounds per mag which is alot of firepower in WWII.More interesting of a weapon is the FG 42 which was a JACKHAMMER, and a direct competitor to the Browning B A R 30-06 again plagued by alot of recoil but a potent weapon none the less.IMHO COD has the weirdest glitchy sounding machine guns of any gameexcept the MG42 which is spot on, and taken from a movie im almost certain of that.When I worked on the QuakeIII Urban Terror mod team I remember a coder once telling me that the QuakeIII engine was only capable of calculating 10 projectiles per second, and im thinking that may be the reason for the strange machine gun firing rate effect, a good solution would have been to create a double tap wavfile the would essentially play two shots per calculatedshot with a single shot sound for the begining and ending of the players firing sequence, perhaps Ill make a mod for this I dunno if I want to do it or not though because its fairly time consuming.

I actually got to handle a authentic StG44, as well as a mp40....slick little weapons. Both renderd inactive of course.I'll get my buddy to email the pics to me again, and ill post em here.StG actually the first true assault rifle.

I go to Knob creek shoot every year. I know Kenny and Biff that run it personnaly... The MP40 is cool but no better the Thompson except for the weight..... well and the reach...I personally like the sten. sweet little pipe.... I hope to see it in this game when I buy it. With the exception of the players looking rather short and stubby, I find CoD much better then medal of honor.....the kill cam, looking down the sight, and most of all, machine gunners don't rule the game.I'm hooked on it.

....rgr Rahman on the Mapmakers'Forum being public...thanks! One problem there in that forum is that you can't attach files for some reason that is why I moved that topic to the other area. Also thanks for fixing the FTP as I want to upload several maps for CoD that I plan on putting in rotation on my server when I leave it up. If there are any of you that want to have a good shoot on something other than your basic maps that I am sick of already check out my server once you get the maps. I had it up several times this past weekend for long hours and it was pretty popular. I had some LW_ gunners on there last night and all had a good time. The maps that I will put in rotation will be Neverland(final),Fivepoints,Riverside,BigBrecourt,and either of the Pegasus maps...both night and day. I'll post what maps I'll have in rotation here on the sameday so if you want to join you can have the same maps on your box. Going to try and get them on the TX FTP now and perhaps the FTP admins can make an area just for CoD maps as I have been scamming about one good one a day here lately!.......Vodka, Sterno, and Nitrous Oxide a happy Bomber Pilot make!TX-CUDA on UBITX-CUDA on HyperLobby
