I've been flying with SparX when I have the chance to fly which isnt very often, but I have noticed a total lack of TX guys on Hyperlobby, and was wondering what was going on.
I usually always see 2 or 3 of you guys, but not in a while. COD distractions?? hehehe  I bought  Battlefield Vietnam, but it sucks  yet another 40 dollar beer coaster. I bought FarCry too  which is AWESOME  I mean AWESOME, that is if you have a half way decent PC to run it on, the GFX are stunning   you have to see it to beleive it. I would reccomend it.

Well  gotta run  just thought I'd say howdy fellas

.....I'll probably be flying on Ubi more than Hyperlobby here in the very near future. I was finally able to host a map un Ubi last night for the first time in I can't remember when.If I remember correctly after one of the patches to IL2 before FB something happened to the Ubi lobby that would not let me host. After uninstalling and re-installing FB several times here it seems that I can host again now. LW_Tornado was gracious enough to send one of the old maps this way and I left it up all last night and it had no troubles.  As there aren't that many servers on Ubi anymore with "closed cockpit w/externals" that make the bombing missions more enjoyable that is what I'll most likely set the maps at. Kind of tough to fly a bomber to target if you are picked up on radar!More on this to come....TX-CudaRecruiting Officer

Think a day doesn't pass that im not on HL flying.......or flying period, so much so I think my girlfriend has had enuf of it.  It's just more difficult right now trying to fly in the evenings during our "quality time" so to speak.I picked up Far cry as well, but havent played it yet.

I'm always flying, mostly in HL, although at times I do visit UBI.  But you are right, our precesence is very light. Mostly there is a very small core of about 4-5 that fly frequently and the others fly when time allows. All I can tell you is that we are trying to get together to fly at least once a month. So, if you're interested why don't you join us now and then.On another note:Lately Cuda has been able to host on UBI. Both Saturday and Sunday night the TX-CUDA server was packed. Some of the guys (Sputnik, Ersk and Cuda) are busy making maps. Ersks map contains plenty of targets (ship, tanks columns, trucks, fuel depots),  Sputnik's map is historical, the Battle of Lvov (1941 plane set),  Cuda is hosting one of the old TX maps with bad weather. So join us when you can.S~TX-MonguseGreen 2

I just completed our move this weekend (sort of) but now it seems I have two houses to take care of.  Have to set up the new one and prep the old one so I will still be busy for the next couple of weeks for sure.  Otherwise I have ordered DSL service to the new pad but I think that's at least a week away.   In the mean time I still need to upgrade my PC, was barley able to fly FB and I hear AEP is even more memory intensive.  So since I will be switching to DDR ram instead of RDRAM I'll need a new mobo to. Although I am out of service for now I will be back as soon as I get all the stuff on my to do list checked off.

S! howdy,I've been a bit busy patrolling the sky over the California frontline. Not much action, but I did intercept a Piper Cherokee the other day. . .he had transgressed our no fly aerobatic box. . .it was a perfect bounce, I formed right up on him and he had no idea until we did a knife edge flyby and provided escort back to safe territory (I know, its hard being a pacifist in combat!).    ;-)The flying I do here in the sim world seems to gravitate more towards the formation stuff rather than combat anymore. . . but I'm around.Raptor, I just finished a video that you might find fun. My dad met up with me at Wayne Handley's place a few days ago, and then we went out and did some flying. My dad just got a video camera (and he isn't what you would call savvy) and wanted to learn how to use it, so he picked what must be one of the hardest things to video, aerobatic aircraft! I compiled some of the shots that actually show something into a 14 minute video. . . it is on the ftp in the Aerobatic Tracks and Movies folder.http://ftp://209.163.147.67I hope things are well with youS!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX Squadron XO

...DAMN!!...sure am glad to see some posts again about flying! (I probably missed most of the last months or so!)        IT seems that since we no longer have the OC3 server to call our own I am now hell bent for leather to do what I can to get this squad some exposure......be it by hosting on Ubi, HyperLobby, or just hanging out in the lobby. After I post this and check my sites for new CoD stuff I am going to be hot on the Full Mission Builder making some maps to host . Sure wish I had the old "Tx-Mountains" map I made way back when. But since it's gone I have to get back to business. Like a previous post mentioned...the map that I was so graciously sent by LW_Tornado and able to host was full most of the time I had it up. (BTW, that map was created by TX-Tornado) ....at any rate, I plan on working on getting this show on the road from this end. IF you guys have any ideas/suggestions for maps...settings here...or anything else PLEASE LET ME KNOW........I still have the fast cable connection...a fairly decent box to host on...and a desire to get us back on the map so to speak. To heck with the naysayers that call TX "easy meat"....implying that we aren't worth a crap. I say we get our crap in one bag and host a good server.....welcome the new pilots as well as the old friends we have flown with over the last few years...and get some new blood in here to augment the pilots that have moved on to other airspace....   ..I'll forsake my nightly CoD bloodletting and devote most of my time to this effort. I am asking you guys to join me in this endeavor as I hate to see what was built up over the last several years crash and burn like the flaming wreckage of the bullet riddled deathtrap of a bomber that I flew for the TX-SQUADRON last night.........Rocky akaTX-CUDARecruitment OfficerPublic Affairs OfficerProcurement OfficerKeeper of the Officers Club KeysGeneral of the "Jacks of All Trades" Detachment

I just finished CoD single player mode.... All I can say is wow... The tanks are great fun, the truck ride shoot em up was cool, and the reichstag was amazing. Now that I'm done with single player I'm back at making CoD maps again. I wanted to see all the things the single player maps have like stukas and fires. As for ACE and meeting up once a week... I get bored with weekly meetings. However, a weekly racing lineup would bring me to the table and give us some exposure again.TX-KingsnakeWhite 1

Good to see you all once again, glad the flag still flies Wink. and DID I HEAR RACING Huh? TX-Racing needs to bring its arse to HL every friday for the fun (until rah an I are officially up) Honestly, its as laid back an professional as well as freindly atmosphere youll find, rules very easy and well laid out, many regs. Register for a # and be there on Friday or Saturday to accomodate all. Matter of fact spring league just started last week, plenty time to get onboard. King, Eco, BB, Rah , you all used to be steady on the racing scene. Anyways look me up King and I'll get you up to speed on the racing. S~ my brothers.B~ Tp.s. BTW, u still have BYE FAR the best damn sig I"ve seen online bro Wink[img]http://www.txsquadron.com/sigs/TXMotto3.jpg">

I am from Louisville Kentucky as you guys know, well I have been stuck up in Springfield Massachusetts for a few days. My mother fell down a flight of steps and got a concusion, two seizures and some loss of memory. She is fine now but we had doubts for a few days and she still can't drive yet so that leaves me as a driver and nurse.Looks like I could be up here for a bit until I know she will be able to not accidently cook the dog. LOLSee you guys soon!!S~TX-FlightRisk Green 3
