Just thought I'd return the favor and give a little wazzap post over here at your digs and welcome those that want to give WWIIOL a little try with the Lafayette Federation fellas.  I fly IL2FB quite regularly in the Warclouds servers or via cooperative missions with the 4th Fighter Group on Thursday nights.  For me, they're both good games but for different reasons.  The IL2FB sim gives me all the graphics and air to air jones that I can handle while WWIIOL has the corner on the ground war and definately in the air-to-mud role.  Either way.. good times!  Looking forward to meeting up with you fellas in either venue.

Rahman and I had a blast the other night multicrewing a DB7 and greasing many flak-weenies.. even scored a 109 kill in the process.  Yeehaw!

Turo,           Welcome to our humble abode!  Thanks for getting me back into WWIIOnline...have had a blast at it so far  The Lafayette Federation has been very good to me....nice buncha folks!!  To think I played this game alone back when...wow!  Was great multicrewing the bombers the other night!  Wish IL2 would allow the same in a dogfight server.           Anywho....just wanted to welcome you here....  I'm sure some of the other TX guys will be getting in WWIIOnline soon.. I know Kingsnake is already at it...and Sputnik expressed interest.  Man....teamwork on a mass scale!  Is it ok if I give them the TS information so they can join on comms there?  I'm not sure if it's a private thingee or not...  I've been made to feel so welcomed that I'm not sure what the norm is. I'm pretty sure that the teamspeak info is public, but in order to get into the right channels, you'll have to tune CH72 and ask one of the teamspeak server admins to pull you down into the 43rd IR/Lafayette channel. The only real thing that you'll be missing out on by not using the WWIIOL squad key is that you won't have access to the squad text channel nor show up in "squad colors" in game.. which isn't the end of the world, but adds one more small layer of fun to the experience.  Oh, and maybe a snazzy squad signature, too!  Those guys are really great with that stuff.  I've been playing WWIIOL since launch in 2001, and it has certainly been a wild and crazy ride.. plenty of bugs to go around, but the nice thing is that you get a continually growing and expanding game that is unmatched in terms of sheer scope and variety of experiences available.  Like anyone, I get burned out on one aspect of the game or another from time to time.. but then I just grab a LMG, anti-tank gun or multicrew a destroyer with someone as a change of pace.  Amphibious landings with tanks being hauled out of freighters, escorted by destroyers and patrol boats are REALLY fun, for example.  You can walk around the destroyers and freighters as infantry even.. Anyhow.. Good to have ya fellas!  Make sure you're also tuning CH90 for the French Air Force to respond to CAS requests!  The French are certainly the hardest of the three nationalities to play for in terms of difficulty.. so bring your hard hats and lunchpails to work!  HOOAH!!=]The LAF fellas have been nothing but absolutlely fantastic to me in my time with them.. very laid back and into having fun before anything else.  So, you're more likely to have a mandatory truck race or crash-up derby than you are a mandatory squad meeting or virtual-napoleon a-hole ordering you around.!SHope to go flying with y'all soon(tm).Late,~T.
