In an effort to reduce cost and stave off bankruptcy, Delta will do away with its fleet of smaller commuter aircraft.  Delta’s new strategy is to fly the jumbos straight into those commuter markets thus eliminating the need for connecting flights.  Delta admits there are some potential downsides to this.  Obviously this will mean more stops per flight and that passengers should always assume crash positions when landing at the smaller stops.
