Hi Gozr Smiley

Agreed on minimap.

Hey do you know how I can scale those images in the forum commands?
The borders cut them off for me - and I don't want to lose the resolution.

Hi Toad Smiley

Gozr, you know, I've noticed this on a few forums (TUSA, Ghostskes), where the forum is set up with "borders" which clip the image - I wish they wouldn't do that.

Too many forums are set-up to only handle 800 X 600 or something small like that.

It's 2010 - the low end resolution that the vast majority of folks access forums is at least 1280 X 800.

When you think about all the steps a person has to go through to scale, upload and link images - it's no wonder people don't post more.

I'd probably post a ton of images on all sorts of forums if it were easier..

King,

I think that's a working example of DX11 "tesselation".

Oh, I love my ATI Smiley

Gunny

They border it this way, so they can include other area's of interest on the sides, and keep the main page scrollable, still forcing the outside edges in your perifial vision.

Like links to other sections of the same group, or advertising, and such.

And since so many people are more interested int other things, the forum software, web-pages gravitated it into a standard, whether its utilized this way or not.

This forum has the ability to host the file, picture inside the post as a thumbnail, but at the moment, were restricted to 128kb
Most pictures we care to share are much bigger than that.

It took me a spell to find a crappy picture in my stash that small, for an example.

Thanks Todd.  That makes sense.

Some months ago, I seem to remember Rah posted a command you could use to scale the image to fit the border - but people could click on it to make it full size.

You have an R/C plane?  That's cool - and it's a big one at that...  must be fun to fly.

Off to practice for G/S.  Really having fun with that - wish you guys could play.  I'm having a great time with Mig-3ub - Mig-3 Shvak and Gozr's favorite - the glorious Yak-9!

Yeh Gunny I have some R/C planes, That one isn't actually mine, it was a noobs that was afraid to try, so I took it up on its maiden flight. I think that was a cell phone pic he sent me of it.

I haven't taken any of them out in about 3 years though, I quit paying the field fee's due to the uppity pricks in charge.

There too good and rich, with their pattern Planes, and such, and really treated us guys with the smaller 40-46 class stuff, like leapers.

And due to the economy and stuff, the land one of my buddies and I was clearing off on private land got to expensive to mow off, with all the other cutbacks in our lives at the moment.
