Hi Guys
Very nice site first of all, my first visit here.

I saw you guys did a lot of testing on the SRM software.
My question is how far did you all get with it, does it work etc.
Im kinda curious about it and any info would be great.
Thanx

Nero,             Thanks much and welcome to txsquadron.com!             We did do some testing on the SRM software but it does not work on Forgotton Battles.  We now use FBDaemon and FBDStats written by Bad Bernie and Sammie respectively.  You can grab your own copies of this great scripting software from the following location: http://www.greatergreen.com/il2/bbz/ .  If you should have any issues installing them and getting them to work check out the forums at http://209.209.44.31/forums/ . Sammie and Bernie would be more than happy to help Regards,TX-Rahman"BLUE 2"

RahmanThanks for the info.A few more questions pls.So the SRM software works fine for IL2 Sturmovik then?Cant the FBDaemon and FBDStats software be used to remotely access a dogfight type server to reset the times and things? The reason I ask is that I am in South Africa and there are a lot of guys here that have both the IL2 games. Most people are on dialup and the distance from here to European or US servers makes the pings extremely high.I am luckily on 128K ISDN which gives me pings under 500, normaly around 300, the guys on dialup 1000+, which sucks. We have an option here to put the games up on a local serer supplied by the Telekom company with mega bandwidth. We have a lot of games on servers in SA but they all allow you to access remotely to make changes and administor the game with admin rights. The telekom company will not allow the game to just be setup and left without anyone looking at it.So if the SRM software works perfectly for IL2 then great we can set that one up, and if the FBDaemon and FBDStats can do a similar thing we can put up FB to.UBI has been contacted for software relating to the games and out local servers, we even offered them full access and explained the reasons why, but they told us to go jump and couldnt really give a damn about deepest Africa, only sell the games lol. Pity. Thanks for the help, and if you can clarify the above it would be a bonus. Many thanksNero

Software from Ubi?   You'll have a better chance of getting water out of a popcorn fart.   (why anyone would even try, I'm not sure, but it sounds funny.)TX-Deck out.

Remote admin of a server can not be found in one program. While the FBdaemon allows for remote map changing, time of day, scripting to rotate maps, and more,  it does not allow you to remotely restart the game or reboot the computer. Whatever you choose to host your game on be it ALL SEEING EYE, UBI, or HYPER LOBBY, at some point the hosting service will drop you off the list while the game continues to run. This means you will need a remote terminal access program to restart the game and keep it on the hosting service.TX-KingsnakeWhite >+
