I went to Reno-Stead for this year's racing. I of course got some pics and videos, but I will spare Rahman the bandwidth ;-)

I saw a better than new Corsair  that was FULLY functional and FULLY accurate, no new technology on the panel, no dummy guns, and even fully functional rockets. . .it was by far the most perfectly restored warbird that I have seen, and I couldnt help but think of Cage, and so I got him some pics.

I also met Kirby Chambliss and had a fairly lengthy chat with him, and Ben, who is pretty much Kirby's Biggest fan did as well, and he also got to check out Kirby's Edge 540 up close, including the carbon fiber cockpit.

Rare Bear was back, and did quite well, the Unlimited Gold race looked like three separate races, with Dago Red Lapping most of the pack (I told everyone, but for some reason they needed to see it to believe it) and Rare bear about 5 seconds under. Dago Red also set a new track record average speed of 507.1 mph around the course.  Dago Red's race time was 8:16.46 at 487.938 mph average, Rare Bear was 8:20.56at  483.9mph, the next in line was Seafury Critical Mass at a speed of  446.9 and a race time of 9:01.97

Watching this race made it clear that Dago Red is in need of competition, Skip Holm wasn't even pushing as hard as he did in qualifying and if Rare Bear wasn't back there (nearly 5 seconds behind) then there wouldnt have been ANY competition.

Unfortunately VooDoo called a mayday, and had another DNF, The Unlimited Bronze race was won by a very interesting Mustang that had two counter-rotating props, named Precious Metal at a speed of 407 mph Unlimited Silver was won by P-51D Miss America at a lap average of 428.5, The Biplane Race winner had an engine failure just after the final lap. He landed with 1,500 feet of runway remaining, and he looked to be at about 110 KIAS, and he wasn't slowing .  .  . he went off the runway into the sagebrush and flipped his bipe onto her back about 30 feet off the runway, the Pilot David Rose was ok, despite some cuts and bruises.

In a deep throaty radial voice the corsair asks Cage. . ."was it as good for you as it was for me?"Cage, I got the reg number off of his hat in another photo, and was able to track down a site for the aircraft. . . here ya go:http://www.fine-art-models.com/e/model/aircraft/corsair/1_1/http://www.airpowerunlimited.com/current/fg1dcorsair1.htmhttp://www.airpowerunlimited.com/S!TX-EcoDragonBlack 1TX Squadron XO

Gents that means this man is a federally licensed Fully Auto owner 6 fold.... 1800 dollars worth of licenses....... plus the thousands of dollars it takes to have each individual 50 cal browning made specifically for a plane specially done with existing firearms... Very, very expensive. This is a wealthy human being......S~TX-FlightRisk Green 3
