Battle of Britain Map

A few of us had the pleasure to fly closed cockpit on a BOB map last night. While the contacts with the enemy were few and far between we did manage to get  some kills and completely own the skies above 2K. The fact that at the end there were only 2 enemy panes had nothing to do with this....lol.

Still for a good 45 mins we were able to explore the french country side and stop in at Caans for a latte and to see the film festival. I had a blast just flying in formation to tell the truth....and got to see a comet up close ( FR learning about the flight characteristics of a P51 the hard way..all the way to the ground )

I really hope that we use this map when we are once again up and running. It was American vs German Aircraft and for me was a complete enjoyment.
I have a new found respect for the P51 and  think that if I wouldn't be breaking some kind of law in about 50 civilized nations would probably consider having sex with that plane.....

Anywho.. Hope we run the same setup soon.....

I agree, that map is extremely cool. The creator Jughead (what was that, 331st squad?) offered to allow us to use it on the OC3 when it returns and I will gladly do so. These days I prefer the American vs German missions and really enjoy flying in and against the mustang. It adds a whole new feel to the game and frankly, been killing Yaks and La's for years, need a change. The FW series is at it's zenith and soon we will have the TA152 to beat down the yanks...can't wait. This map was very well done and I can only imagine the popularity if there were 10-12 pilots per side. I had a lot of fun last night as well and though we did spend a lot of time looking for the 3 sneaking germans, when we did engage them we shot the pants off of em. Not too bad all around. BK, I'm not bailing you out of jail if you screw your plane...thats just wrong imhoTX-ZenBlack 6

Speaking of New maps....did anyone take action on changing the Racing Forum to "MapMakers Forum"? With the new map areas that we have now with the beta it seems like a good idea to have a foum for map makers to post their wares and to answer questions concerning map making on the TX page....Carpal Tunnel in my trigger finger....Rocky...TX-CUDA on UBITX-CUDA on HyperLobby

LOL BK !Thanks man , I needed the comic relief. :-)I enjoyed that map as well. Yea , the P-51 sure does land an immediate change in the fighter pecking order doesnt it . I'll have to learn how to fly this one though. I think I hafta reset my stickset , the elevator wasnt right last time I flew.
