I know that I would prefer that this forum concentrate on making maps for FB but I could not pass this up as it is a very good site to check out if you are interested in the making of maps for Call of Duty. Several good tutorials on the different aspects of map making using the heavily modded Quake engine that CoD runs on. Well worth the time if you ever wondered how to make a map for this game. http://callofduty-maps.codfiles.com/cod_tuts.html...Vodka, Sterno, and Nitrous Oxide a happy Bomber Pilot make! Awesome Cuda!! Thanks much!! I wonder if larger maps can be created....the maps for multiplayer that are available now are too small in my opinion... Too much mindless grenade throwing and bullet-hosing... Regards,TX-Rahman"BLUE 2"

Great find Cuda, exactly what that game needs! Don't know if I will be involved with making maps myself, but I'm sure that there will be many people out there cranking them out. Safe bet they feel the same as we do.TX-Deck out.

Great find Cuda!!!!! And who else better to make maps than an architect who specializes in historic buildings..... In the future Look for Kingsnake's Concentration Compound, Zeplin hanger, Zenstadt, Ramanheim, Ecowald, and more. Oh lest I forget, Albert Spear's Germania, the future vision of a world capitol for the fatherland... TX-KingsnakeWhite 1

Good deal Cuda, thanks for digging this up. My question is still do you guys think the game is worth spending any time on? I haven't played it or the demo yet, not sure if I'm going to get it. I bought lockon but haven't installed that yet either, so it's hard for me to say if I'll play CoD at all.TX-ZenBlack 6

Achtung! Here you will find the manual for the level making software. http://qeradiant.com/manual/Correct me if I'm wrong, the maps are made in 3d-studio or milkshape3d, imported into milkshape3d then the files are ready for the radiant quake engine. http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/index.htmlhere is yet another map making tutorialhttp://www.codfiles.com/file.stuff?body=Tutorials#MappingAll I hear are crickets.... This is about as far as I got into making a 1 room map.... I am stuck because it looks like my bps won't compile the lighting in the BSP menu, select “bsp_fastvis”. All I see is --- under Bsp. TX-KingsnakeWhite 1

Kingsnake, when I light off the CoD tools thing I get an error stating that I have to point it somewhere...do they mean like to point it like my Garand or my MP44??...seriously, it's asking me for something and not telling me what it's looking for. Any suggestions??...Vodka, Sterno, and Nitrous Oxide a happy Bomber Pilot make!TX-CUDA on UBITX-CUDA on HyperLobby
