I know this is really geeky. But I just wanted to say that Battlestar Gallactica has been re-made and is on Sci Fi. Kinda the junk some of us grew up with. However I will say a key character Starbuck is a woman this time around and supposedly one other character has been femalized....
Geeky to most but I like Science Fiction and this was a cool show years ago. Sorry for using space for this, but I figured there was a couple of us who liked this shat.....

Hehe, I was just checking on what time it came on a minute ago. (8pm central) Hard to believe it was only on for one season. I vaguely remember playing with one of those cylon fighter action toys as a youngster. Good stuff.

Actually Seeker here is what happened. It had two full seasons and a partial season due to contract disputes. So that was something like 20 shows (Maybe wrong by 4 or 5) and okay great visual effects for the time. But then they cheesed them up because they repeated them over and over... same exact ones same angle.... same no see actor....  So they got like a full season in 78 a partial season in 79 and then they changed the name to just plain Galactia in 80 and did 10 more episodes... Damn I should not know this........GeekRisk....S~TX-FlightRisk Green 3

I saw a trailer for this last night.   Looked over at the wife and she looked back at me...  "what?"She obviously didn't remember the first time around.Does this mean that saying "Frack" will be en vogue again soon?TX-Deck out.

No matter how you percieve this..... its war,,,,, its fighter pilots.... its cool.....MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL!  And they have nads!!... To be real.... Good way to learn who is in charge in a battle.... Senior officer .... period.......S~TX-FlightRisk Green 3

I wonder if they will still use the term "Fellgar Carb" (spelling?).  Yep, they broke ground when they began substituting for the big words. On a similar note I just watched the movie "Dark Blue World".  I thought it was pretty good, better than I expected for a foreign film and all.  Setting is the Battle of Brittain (can't tell from the title) with quite a bit of Spitfire action.  I give it two thumbs up. Anyway Rah, I think were going to need a movie forum.

I adored Galactica as a kid, the cylons were the hippest thing on TV with that voice of theirs 'By Your Command'. I had a zillion toys and used to sit glued in front of the TV set with my eyeballs pressed directly against the screen. In retrospect the show is nothing but a gigantic ball of cheese pure and simple but it brings back fond memories. Remember the episode where they were testing the hot rod Viper with no guns? Now that was cheesy but it brings a smile to my face just remembering all the plot devices. Yes they used the same footage over and over and over and over lol. In fact I think there was only a single battle ever filmed and the entire series milked that puppy to the max. Frack, if Starbuck is as good a looking woman now as you all are suggesting, I'm going to check it out. I think my TV still works after the move though I haven't turned it on yet, with any luck I'll have the right channels on cable available also. TX-ZenBlack 6

The hottie in this is the Cylon chick that looks human. Starbuck looks like she'll kick your ass. Hot if you're into that kinda thing. BTW, if you missed it, it's going to air again tonight at 6 before episode 2. I thought it was ok. A bit bogged down with the drama, IMO. Needs more sci-fi and less plot.

Damn Seeker. I was going to say the same thing. Except the plot is important. If I am watching a Porn it shouldn't have a plot, if it's something else for me at least it better have some plot ... LOLThey have the wench here:http://www.scifi.com/And here is her bio: DA YUMA humanoid model of Cylon. With drop-dead looks and a perfect body, her every move and gesture is smooth and precise, her eyes keenly intelligent. And God talks to her....TRICIA HELFERVictoria's Secret model Tricia Helfer was born in Donalda, Alberta, Canada. The 1992 Ford Supermodel of the World winner and former Elite model has graced the covers of such magazines as Elle,Amica Italia and Cosmopolitan UK, and has walked the runways for Christian Dior, Givenchy, Claude Montana, Emanuel Ungaro and other top fashion designers. Besides Victoria's Secret, she has appeared in advertisements for clients including Giorgio Armani, Oil of Olay and Saks Fifth Avenue. After doing correspondent work for the Canadian style/fashion TV-magazine series Ooh La La, Helfer gained attention as an actress when she played the lead female role of Sarah, the hero's love interest, in the two-hour premiere of the Showtime series Jeremiah. She later memorably played a teen model who tries to cut off her own face in an episode of the hit series C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation, and appears in the comedy short Eventual Wife, seen on HBO/Cinemax and on the AtomFilms Web site. Helfer lives in Manhattan.S~TX-FlightRisk Green 3

I caught most of the first episode earlier tonight, and I'm currently riveted to the second episode.I must say, this is very well done.   Seeker is right, quite alot of drama, but I suspect things will heat up a little more as time goes on.w00t!TX-Deck out.
