Gentlemen,

We are planning the next scrim for this Wednesday against the :FI:.

What plane sets do we want to fly as TXer's? We have flexibility to fly what we like but the preference is for each mission to have only 1 type at a time, so we must all fly the same thing. I think this will help our training as well, I personally do not make the effort to fly as wide a variety of planes as I probably should.

Give me your suggestions and preferences and we'll get a planeset list together for Snoop to add to the scrim rotation. Remember, one specific plane at a time. I'm open to anything, so you guys pick what you like.

Wingmen:
I'd like to know who is planning on attending so that I can assign wingmen prior to the scrim taking place. As always we will improvise, adapt and overcome in the event that your assigned wingman is not able to make it or we get latecomers than need to be paired up with someone.

Icon Settings:
What are your prefered icon settings? I thought the icon settings were fine minus the player ID ofcourse, without that it made it difficult to stay with our wingman and reduced our section cohesion. What would you prefer to see for icons? Keep in mind that this is their training and we may or may not get what we ask for and they need to be on the stricter side, but I still want to know what TX prefers.

Zen,          I plan on attending....          Don't really care what plane...I'll fly whatever everyone else flies...  Just don't have us in some old boat while they're in P51's...heh          I prefer to be able to see who's in the plane....  Even if it's just "Black6, White1, etc..."  Heard about the "FokWulf Check6!" incidents.... Hi guys,Just a quick post because I'm at work. I've been a bit busy so I haven't had a chance to read through all your posts. But I just wanted to let you know that I'm willing to make changes to make this training a good experience for you guys. I'll make sure that Wednesday I'll have made changes to the training missions to acomodate both squads.s!Snoop:FI:SnoopBaron

Oh just one more thing I will improve the friendly squad number distance settings so you guys can find your wingman. I think it is a good idea and it will help both sides fly better as a team. I'm going to use the squad number instead of the player name for three reasons. 1) It is smaller than the full name 2) Encourage people to remember to pick their correct squad number (some of my m8s atleast tend to forget) 3) To get us to learn others squad number:FI:SnoopBaron

Zen,Count me in. I'll be there. My preference for Icon settings are:
  • At least 1.0 to 1.5 distance
  • Icon description for squad mates is a must but is not necessary for the opposing side.

....I sure wish I coulde say that I'll be there but due to me working my tail off these past week on the new house while on a supposed vacation and having only the next four days to try and finish (while returning to the real job for a break) I can probably tell you that I will not be attending. I get off work at Verizon at 1800 and from then till late thirty I'll be working on the house....Hopefully after the 20th/22nd I'll be set up over there and will be in my strictly computers only room and can fly...crank up the speaker system...and raise hell as I go down in flames or make a good deflection shot without having to worry about anyone here being bothered!  Can't Wait!!...Vodka, Sterno, and Nitrous Oxide a happy Bomber Pilot make!TX-CUDA on UBITX-CUDA on HyperLobby

I'll plan on being there.  The change to identify players would be all I ask.  As far as plane types my current favorite is the G2 but I'm sure it's not on everybody’s.  But you know me; I'll fly anything, even the Dora if I have too.

Cuda we plan on doing this weekly, I know you are busy but good news is that we'll probably still be doing it when you have time to come back. BTW, you missed some fierce 190F8 Jabo action this evening on SpaRX server, we pretty much pounded the crap out of Red with dive bomb attacks. Coordination was pretty good and we put up some very stiff competition. Earlier in the evening we flew HE111H6's with torpedos on the pacific island map and rocked the house. Monguse was chased down in his F8 by the entire red airforce and managed to RTB alive and well. I have track files of the whole evening, will post tomorrow. TX:Who else is attending the scrim? I need to make a flight roster and still need to know what planeset choices we'd like. Lets get organized gentlemen, we've got some drunken Irishmen to spar with SmileyTX-ZenBlack 6

Hi guys,Just a few notes:1) We practice every Wednesday and you guys are welcome to co-practice with us every and any Wednesday :)2) You can pick multiple plane types just one at a time. The way it works is as follows (just an example):FI fly for the Red team and picked planes: P51TX fly for the Blue team and picked planes: P51, 109K4, FW190A9, 109G2Then I'll create the following missions:Red v BlueP51 v P51P51 v 109K4P51 v FW190A9P51 v 109G2Since we will be flying the P51 this Wednesday (unless I hear otherwise from my m8s) keep that in mind when picking your planes.I host using fbdaemon so each side will have 40 planes and 20 pilots. The normal map rotation that I use is that the winning side flys the same plane next round and the loosing side changes planes (if they picked more than one plane type). The alternative is to go to the next matchup regardless of which side won. Let me know which approach you prefer.s!Snoop:FI:SnoopBaron

" Please.........EXTERNALS...........ON................everything else can be as real as you want.TX-BomblastRed2"Hi Bomblast,We practice with externals off as most of us believe that having externals on goes to far in getting rid of the element of surprise. Don't get me wrong, I like to fly with externals on some of the time because it is fun to sit back and watch others fly or admire their skins, but for training I prefer the added challenge of externals off. Some of our members grumbled when we started training with externals off as they were not used to that setting. But after a while they all got used to it and now really enjoy training with externals off.Regards,Snoop:FI:SnoopBaron

The format looks good Snoop, we'll definately start with the P51 vs P51. Any word on the final icon settings?Monguse: I have no problems with flying any of the FW series but we didn't seem to enjoy the D9 last time so I doubt there will be much enthusiasm for another round of something similar. At the rate we are going however, no one is posting their choices so it looks like the G2 or some other version of the FW. So far I believe that the following members are attending:ZenDeckRahmanBomblastChukarMonguseThe proposed wingman roster is:Blue 1 & 2Red 2 & Green 2Black 6 & Black 8Unless there are any objections.TX-ZenBlack 6
