Best overall plane in the game

If you had to pick one plane to carry you through every kind of mission from air to air, air to ground, anti shipping and others, what would you fly and why?

In effect, this is more or less asking what is the most useful and overall most effective plane in the game.

If it were me, I'd probably take the IL2-43M or the 190A9. Perhaps even the P47.TX-ZenBlack 6

I'd go with the Il2-3 or Il2 field-mod. It's smaller cannons seem more effective in air-to-air due to less recoil and slightly faster rate of fire, while still powerful enough to take out ground targets. Though outclassed taking on a large group of fighters, it can handle a few at a time relatively easily. It's mudmoving capacity is second to none.

IL2, for ground pounding and air to air combat, also the 3M with the bigger rockets, can take out ships with ease. I have come to like the FW190A-9 some what, still like the K4 for high altitude dogfights.

Well it seems the obvious choice for ground pounding is the il2 its best against tanks veichles etc.  It is my choice as well, id go the the il2 3m or the il2 series 3.  For dogfighting I take the mig-3u it has great climbing speed and is very manuverable.. Its cannons are also very accurate though not much ammo is held.
