Better late than never! I think I'll dub this page the collage that keeps going and going! With over 100 images, more than any page to date, ther'll be plenty to browse through.
Some of the images to look for include Salinas from above, not only the layout of the airshow, but an entirely different perspective on the performers themselves including Jimmy Franklin, Jim Leroy and the E-Team.
The Friday Night Show always brings a unique look to the aircraft that fly, especially the saturated colors of the 2003 CF-18 Demo plane. Other performers include Dan Buchanan and Eric Beard with pyro a blazing!
The best part of the show had to be the emotional retirement of Wayne Handley. From his twilight tribute for his wife Karen to his final ribbon cut, I've done my best to capture it all.
Obviously there's much more along with many to thank for their assistance in photographing this show in such a unique style:
-The Showcopters for their aerial assistance
-Air Boss Gale Rawitzer and second in command, Willie Turner
-Cindy Rogers and Liz Butterworth for nodding 'yes' whenever a request was asked of
-Don Chapin for running me around everywhere to got the sponsor shots
-Harry Wardwell for the continuous pats on the back at every passing
-President Karen Curtis for her enduring friendship
-The entire CF-18 Demo team for allowing me to do pretty much whatever and 'Brass' for letting me sign the landing gear door
-LandingZone Restaurant for filling their walls with my images from throughout the year
-Wayne Handley for allowing me these exclusive images of his retirement flights
-All of the performers for their incredible display of talent along with proving this to be one of the best airshows in the country
-Dan Linehan and Ginni Brown for including me in the creation of the 2003 air show program
-And finally, the entire CIAS staff for not only allowing me to continually participate in such a ground breaking show, but also for welcoming me as their newest board member for the Marketing Department...just wait 'til the 2004 show!!!
Hope ya'll enjoy the pics!!!
