Hey guys. Thought some of you might be interested in this. I got tired of throwing a dart at the objects list in the FMB so...

I compiled a list of the OBJECTS in the FMB to use for easy reference when placing objects. I've thumbnailed and categorized the FMB Objects list into the following categories:

Airfield and Military
Fences, Posts and Statues
Government
Palaces and Churches
Vehicles and Trains
Summer Buildings
Winter Buildings
Industrial
Roads, Bridges and Land
Trees
Walls and Fortifications

Each category has a pic and corresponding OBJECT number as listed in the FMB.

I've uploaded two zips:
1. FMB Objects Thumbnail pics -- contains .jpg pics for each object in each category.
2. FMB Objects Viewer Printable -- these are Word documents for each category that you can print out. Objects are thumbnailed and numbered.

Enjoy!

Download here (cut and paste the full link to your browser):
http://f2.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/seeker04@sbcglobal.net/lst?.dir=/files/IL2%20FMB%20OBJECTS%20VIEWER&.order=&.view=l&.src=bc&.done=http%3a//f2.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/

ps..if you want to upload to your ftp, please feel free.

....could someone either e-mail this list to me or upload it to the FTP so I can grab   it later? With the new objects I have read about in the Add-on I have been thinking about making a new map or two and it would sure come in handy...TX-Cuda...one Shot...One KILL!

Cuda, its way to large to email.  I'll upload it to the ftp site tonight when I get back from work. The accumulative size of both zip files is  8 megs.S~TX-MonguseGreen 2

Thanks Seeker.Cuda and all:Seekers files can be downloaded from:http://ftp://209.163.147.67/uploads/Mission%20Building/
    They are:
  • FMB+Objects+Thumnail+pics.zip
  • FMB+Objects+Viewer+Printable.zip
Mission BuildingIn the same folder where I placed Seeker's file you will find a zip file I received from Sparks that contains all of the maps in FB (ACES) with the plane sets already loaded. The zip file also contains a read me file with instructions. The name of the file is WarClouds_mission_buiding_package_3-14-04_v2.zipIf you can not access the uploads folder on the FTP site Rahman might need to manualy place links to the files on a different post.[Edit: I also uploaded an excel sheet that contains information on plane sets by year and battle revelancy. Courtesy of Mudmovers ]Thanks to Seeker and Sparks for the great data they supplied.S~TX-MonguseGreen 2

.....just got in from CudaJR's baseball game (9-4) we won. Tried the link in the above post and I don't have permission to d/l from the uploads section so I guess I'll have to wait until it gets moved to another .dir before I get it. Thanks for the effort Monguse, this sounds good. I'd like to make a new map or two as it's been quite a while since I have made anything for the TX server and some of the ones I had made in the past were pretty popular.I'll see what I can do with the new objects and maps to make at least one or two new ones once the servers come back up.TX-Cuda...one Shot...One KILL!

dl'd those 2 files Guse, thnx for uploading them.  Question (and I am looking on my own for the answer), what do i use for the docks, or in other words, can I take something like the normandy map, and add a dock/harbour area, sorta like a temp dock allies used on beach heads?

One other question.  Map im working on isn't going to be too heavy on AAA, but I do want to have a ton of targets, like a fuel depot, ships, and lots of transport trucks, fuel trucks.....I mean lots.  Going to have some armor, but not a whole lot, as usually people have a tough time with those (especially German, as your rocket options aren't as great as with allied plane sets).  What I want to know is will this cause excessive load time for the map, or create lag etc?  Want to have a map that makes ground pounders drool, and put emphasis on allied pilots scrambling and flying a distance to save the forces.  Hoping this will encourage CAP and not free ranging solo dogfighters
