...just read this and thought I would share.Sure hope none of our readers fall victim.......

Possum Flats(AP)
At Hickock Memorial Hospital this morning it was announced by Dr.Akbar Kharazzi, head of the Forensic Psychiatry Department that the states first documented case of Mad Pilots Disease(MPD) had been confirmed. The patient who had been brought in several days ago by his co-workers via private vehicle was exhibiting symptoms that had confounded the trauma center doctors who first examined him. According to the patients co-workers in the offices of Beaudrow and Sons Canned Catfish Baits, the 40 year old man had been having a normal day overseeing the production of the nationally renowned fish baits that are made locally in the nearby city of Widow Yell.Office workers first noticed that something was possibly wrong when the co-worker began yelling in his office and exhibiting strange behavior that was entirely out of character.Upon further investigation it was found that the man had been using the computer system in his office to play the game "Forgotten Battles",which according to a co-worker is a simulation type game in which players fly world war two fighter planes and bombers online against other players. After hearing the his co-worker yelling loudly in his office the man whom wished to remain annonymous found the infected man thrashing about in his office chair and throwing a joystick against the wall of his office. The man was then removed from his office and taken to a waiting vehicle for transport to the hospital. Sources in the waiting room of the hospital that were present when the patient was brought in stated that the man was wild eyed and yelling words such as "Vultchur","Bullet Hoser", and "Kill Stealer". Emergency workers in the trauma center placed the man under mild sedation and it was then the man was heard muttering such terms as "need more altitude","three minutes until target", and a puzzling term "Alpha Juliet Numpad Eight" which the doctors are still trying to determine the meaning of. Dr.Kharazzi further states that the patients estranged wife told him that the 40 year old man had been seemingly addicted to the Forgotten Battles simulation and had gone so far as to change the interior of his 1957 Chevrolet pickup truck to resemble the cockpit of a German WW2 fighter plane. The doctor also stated that the woman told him that he had referred to his dog as his "wingman" and his children as his "gunners". The woman and the man have been separated for several months beginning when the last upgrade to the sim became public via internet download. Dr.Kharazzi states that this is the first confirmed case in the state and that the man will remain under sedation as further studies are conducted. He also remains confident that eventually the man will return to being a productive member of society and will be able to resume his duties at the Catfish baits company where he was employed.

Mad Pilots Disease, that's a new one on me. Although I don't suffer from MPD, I've been know to throw my headsets to the floor, (yes I'm on my third set). This behaviour does not happen often, it only occurs in the middle of a 15 min. dogfight, 4 on one... dodging bullets,  hand is slipping on fightstick due to sweat, engine overheating...; finally I'm on the bandit's 6, I'm flying tight, like the bandit has me on a rope. As I'm ready to take "the" shot,  someone in the house taps me on the shoulder. Reality Check!!!After my mild thrombosis, I get up, find my skin, put it back on, grab the headset and ... buy another one.S~TX-MonguseWar Room General"Colorless"
