.....have a question concerning map making for Forgotten Battles?
...Never made a map before but want to learn?
...post your questions here concerning Forgotten Battles' Full Mission Builder or Uberdemons UQMG and we here at TX will be more than happy to answer and assist! I am sure that most pilots have some good ideas for a map and I'd like to help you out if you aren't sure how to make that map!

I would love to learn Cuda, and thanks for making yourself available. I would prefer to work around your schedual as you are the one willing to put forth the effort.I start dayshift tomorrow (11 Aug), and work 6 of em, but for 3 days after that, my girlfriend will be away at her friends camp (yay...guilt free gaming time!!!!) and can be ready and willing those days.Warning....I know NOTHING about making maps.

...rgr Copper I'll let you know when I will be able to work with you. I have just started a new map/(series I hope!) based on the Crimea and it is centered on Sevastopol (German docks) and the Russian docks (Balaklava).I have a single player map that has one of the baddest looking dock/ports I have ever seen(Kuban map) and am trying to incorporate it into the Crimea but am not sure it's possible. At any rate, I'll get with you and we can pick a map...start with the basics..and go from there!I did read in TX-Ecodragon's post in the suggestions(squad area) that there were limits to the amount of AA and such that would be expected for maps we submit for the OC3. We need to know what those are as some of my maps can get a little hairy when it comes to AA. My Crimea v.0.2 has limited small caliber(20-25mm) AA but a pretty good amount of 88-85mm near the targets....just made another revision to this map. Deleted more of the small caliber AA and limited the planeset to side specific aircraft. NO JETS...NO ROCKETS...NO AI. got rid of some of the planes that no one flies and pre-loaded the A/C that are available to see how it makes the server respond....Map TX-Cuda's Crimea(V-1's)NO AI will be up on Ubi for testing Tuesday night at 1930CDT if anyone is interested...I'll keep it up for an hour or so then move over to the OC3 on HyperLobby...TX-CudaBBQ and Maps..Which do I cook longer??

...here are some pics from a map I started tonight after flying the OC3....Tuapse Harbour.. ..another view... ...this will be a hard nut to crack without a combined bomber attack!.. ...I think this shows the objects that were placed... ...here is the mission brief and part of the map... ...the brief gives credit to the mapmaker that was so kind as to allow me to use his harbour template.Without this you can only imagine how long that thing would have taken to make! By zooming in on the map I was able to see how it was done(object number) and will add some more harbours to other maps as well..though probably not this complex! This is a very good example of what is possible with the Full Mission Builder and the objects on the objects list inside it!! Just use your imagination!TX-Cuda

....thanks Monguse. But i would advise all to take a closer look at the pictures as this is the Russian Fleet parked there re-fueling and taking on food and ammo. This is not going to be a walk in the park by any means! My fifth column intel guys report that there are at least two cruisers at dock..plus many other smaller ships that will have to be dealt with. Perhaps we will be able to time the attack when the on duty crew goes on shore leave and is drunk and seeing the ladies of this notorious port city. i would imagine that since this is a time of great peril for the Red Navy that they will still have enough crewmen onboard to man all their anti aircraft guns...but we will have to see. Tonight I will start laying the plans for our push to the south from our forward positions with both HE-111 H-2/H6 medium bombers, several FW190's fitted with heavy bombs,General Manfred von Kingsnakes heavy armored columns...and if the command in Munich permits it several FW-200's from Von Kieslings JG-501. We must be succesful in this attack as winter is fast approaching and if the Red Fleet is permitted to sail again we will face a blockade that will force our northern armor to face hardships that some have said will come with the cold........TX-CudaReichskommander Southern District

FLASH! ALL UNITS:...word just received that command is allowing us the use of an additional 5 V-1 ramps w/75 missiles each. THis will help soften up the RED airbase and destroy some of the LA-5/7's and Yak fighters that are hearing rumors of our possible attack. Intel also reports that several flights of IL2's will be attacking Von Kingsnakes armoured columns as they head south...TX-Cuda

Auschtanding Herr Cuda! Now zat you haf put all zis effort into zis mission you kan make 3 missions in a row using zie same or simmilar objekts. Zis is so you haf dese maps all in a row. Maybe zie first mission is to attak tank column. Zie sekond mission is to attak something. Und, zie third mission is to attak zie boats. Sehr Gut!To victory in blood and IronBlut und Eisen, TX-KingsnakeBlack 6

....thanks to Kingsnake,Rex, Rah, and Eco for helping test the first incarnation of this project. With the amount of ships in the harbour it was found that when the small caliber AAA goes off even a hardcore machine/vid card combo would take a pretty good hit fps wise. I am going to de-populate the harbour a bit and test again in order to find a happy medium. It really is pretty to fly over though!TX-Cuda
