The topic of this training is an old classic, and a great one to get the whole squad (or two) participating in a unified force. It is known simply as the three element attack, and is detailed a bit here:

http://www.txsquadron.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=649

As always, the session shall be held in UBI for the purpose of having private game room chats for the AAR and the briefing. This is to better free up the coms so that those who need to speak can, and questions and such can be typed instead of clogging up the coms.  This session is going to be combined for a few reasons, the first of which is to get reaquainted with our old friends in the LW, and to meet the new members. This session also requires a rather large number of players, to more or less emulate both the read and the blue teams as we might find them online.

This may be done as a co-op, this much is not yet decided.  I have suggested that the coms we use be TS as most of the LW also have it, though they generally use ventrilo now.

As stated above the time for the session will be rather early for most of us, but this should allow WarHawk and the many LW who are overseas to attend at a reasonable hour.

Once again, this is Sunday, 8-22-04 at 1700 Zulu

This is 10 am Pacific 12 pm Central and 1 pm Eastern.

Be there or be square. (well, maybe not square, just not there)

I have a meet this weekend and this time will be tough for me to make, but I'll do my best. This is an old topic for most of us, so it's just a refresher. Tornado will be there, and will  act as primary TO for this session.

This should be fun. . bring some beer. . . and probably a few flea combs for some Wolf grooming.

Title: 3 Elemental Attack (We'll work on a new S.O.P. for this scheme)Procedure: For the new guys I'll try to explain this for you the best i can.1. Lead element, Main body and Rear Guard is how we will take off. Depending on how many of us are present will warrant how many are in each elemnt.2.Lead elemnt takes off and will fly a type of weave so to speak as not to get to far out in front of the main body. Seek out and engage whatever aerial targets you may aqquire. Occupy them so as to give the main body a chance to suppress the base or ground unit.3.Main body takes off and wings up with leader of the said element. Proceeds to the objective and suppresses the target, maybe run some CC's(opposing concentric circles) Basically lay-waste to the said objective.4.Rear guard consist of 2-3 planes that follow the Main Body @ a distance not to far but close enough to clear the 6 of Main Body if need be. Summary: Hopefully the Lead element has taken most of the bogeys out of the objective area and let the Main Body do it's thing , if so the Rear Guard is fairly free to engage bogeys and or suppress the said objective. We are very flexible in this mode at the moment due to no direct S.O.P. which is what we are doing this for .Hopefully White 1 and Black 3 will be present , as well as Black 6. We''l try to refine this this evening.AAR. Afterwards we will sequester to the After Action Review room for a verbal and text discussion of the evenings events and find away as a group to perfect this manuver and basically hash out the whole thing.TX-KingsnakeBlack 6
