....I see that CoD has a new add-on/upgrade out.The folks at -=DREDD=- e-mailed me and from what I read in the mail it sounds like the maps are now huge...you can now drive vehicles...etc. I plan on picking it up tonight after work and trying it out this weekend.I'll have a full report on it Monday here.

...picked it up this afternoon after work and just shut it down! I was on the -==DREAD==- server...Domination mode...and I have to tell you guys, this thing rocks! Right when ya spawn go to smoke grenade so you can run faster and head outside. I usually look around for a tank, but if it isn't close I jump in either a truck or a jeep and find one! The Dread server has all the MP maps in rotation...11 new Multiplayermaps here listed:mp_Arhemmp_Berlinmp_Cassinomp_Foymp_Italymp_Kharkovmp_Kurskmp_Ponyrimp_RhineValleymp_Sicilymp_Stanjel...I got some screen shots but can't find them...maybe later!TX-Cuda

.....I had a blast last night as I stayed up 'till 0130 this morning. I really liked the idea of being able to join a map and run from the spawn point to a tank...get it started...and head toward the Soviets. The new weapons are pretty cool as well. I particularly liked the flamethrowers as nothing beats sitting in ambush....watching those nasty Reds run past you...and coming out from behind some rubble and sending them back to Mother Russia crispy fried. The planes will bomb you now as well. Also something that I really like is the fact that as you gain kills your ranking goes up as well. I made it to seargent  with one rocker last night (not sure what it is as I was Navy!) and was able to use the new Binoculars. You look through the binocs at your enemy's position...hit the fire button on your mouse...and lo and behold you have just called in an Artillery Strike! Just make sure that you aren't too close to the intended target as these gunners can be a little careless in their targeting!TX-Cuda

...just thought I'd post some pics to show you some of the ways the eye candy has changed from the original CoD....Church burns and is hit again by an 88mm gun..Tank burns after being hit.....two tanks on fire after being hit....lastly, a satchel charge was thrown over the wall and obviously made something blow up!...I'll post some more if I can. Still need to show you guys the infamous "Flamethrower"!TX-Cuda

...on a related note I see by looking at the maps that are up when you go to join a server that it appears that the old maps (or new ones for that matter) are also supported by the UO upgrade. I'll have to join some of the older maps and see if the new weapons/vehicles are in there as well. One thing to note is that the maps that come with the add-on seem to be much bigger. I guess that is done to accomodate the fact that if you jump in a Jeep or the German version that there is a lot of ground you can cover in a very short time. I found that on a "Capture the Flag" or "Domination" map that you can get there pretty fast....and because of the speed you are traveling not too many tank gunners are able to hit you when you fly by! ...more to come..TX-Cuda

...here are some more screen shots from tonight....this is the view you get through the sniper scope now.Got this off the Berlin Map.....here are two shots from the new Berlin map.Right off one of the spawn points......the view over the lake on the Italy Map.....Here you see three or four of us heading out in a tank column. The server I was hanging out on had a Ventrilo server up so we were grabbing the tanks south of the spawn point, heading up the hill, and shooting the heck out of anything that moved!...last but not least.... here is what I have to do in order to get my darn BBQ pit started from time to time. This shot was taken in a tunnel that I found on the Berlin map.For a donation to the OC3 Fund I would be happy to tell ya where I find my goodies!....I'll post some views of the maps on my next post.I thought that I had saved them as screenshots but I guess I am gonna have to do the prtscrn method to get them. ...Happy Fragging!TX-Cuda

....Good to hear Copper! I was on with the Sn[]per team last night and if I still had the comms that they were using loaded we could have owned the map(s) with only five of us there. We need to get on comms and join the same server! Be even better if we had three or more of us on  comms, the same map, and obviouly the same side since there are some pretty potent weapons to be used now. The last screenshot that showed four of us heading out in tanks proved to be a very succesful mission.Troops would lead out along the road and draw fire..then one of us in the tanks would either use the main gun to hit the building that the enemy was firing from....or get on the machine guns to spray the treeline or bushes where the bad guys were. Most maps also have 88mm guns placed in some very good spots that you can man.I was on one last night and took out seven or eight enemy tanks that were trying to overtake our hill. They just kept coming, I just kept firing....and finally a darn sniper took me out before I saw him.....this add-on is simply a blast!TX-Cuda

......rgr that Copper! I had an idea that once you tried it online that you would like it. I was on the -=Dread=- server for a while last night and then went to try a few other servers as well. One thing that i found annoying is the number of new players that think nothing(or don't know better) about just gunning anything that moves...like ME! Servers that have friendly fire REFLECT would put an end to that nonsence pretty quick. Having a host do some kicking after a fair warning after numerous complaints works wonders also.....I'll get on TX-Comms on the Call of Duty channel tonight when I get on so we can go do some damage.TX-Cuda
