One of the many cool things about IL-2 is the complex physics that it is capable of in its flight models. One such example is the ability to perform extended tailslides. These were modeled better in version 1.04 than 1.1, as you now end up in horizontal, backwards flight when attempting recovery (goofy, but neat in an odd sort of way) Just remember, when flying backwards, control inputs must also be reversed!
