ive never had a problem with AEP at all during my several reformats over the years. anyways, i got serious ...intensive pop up attacks. NOOOOTHING i used would get rid of them... every damn program could scan, and find about 70 in the registry. but nothing could remove them. nothing.

so anyways i reformatted. re-installed progs per usual routine. AEP worked fine at first..... after hooking up the broadband a few days later, i noticed load times up to 3 minutes per OFFLINE playing. anything with more than 8 aircraft are serious  stutters. lets not EVEN talk about getting hit with the MK 108s. BOMP................................................UNFREEZE.. BOMP...................................UNFREEZE..dead

possible im infected with something allready? what do i LOOK for? because nothing im using  is comming back with anything.

GAU,           Also check this link out... http://forums.ubi.com/eve/ubb.x?q=Y&a=tpc&s=400102&f=23110283&m=4041018232&p=1           I uninstalled the MS Virtual Machine (Java) yesterday because I had long load times of the PC would freeze...  You have to uninstall the MS java and install the Sun Java...  Many folks are even saying that they have better FPS with the Sun Java.           Also...If you need help with uninstalling MS java...gimme a call and I can remote your computer and do all the regedit stuff for ya...  This will most likely solve your issues....Regards,TX-Rahman"WHITE 6"

IM wondering if there IS a conflict then... before the format i did have the JAVA installed..and i never did remove windows version. but there were no problems...and i got decent improvement... on FS2004.. it is incredible... for me. im running the game completely maxed out. and no slowdown. wasnt able to get that before.anyways. after reformat i installed JAVA again without removing windows version... maybe this time it is conflicting. guess ill try formatting tonight when i get homethx

After replacing my video card I ended up having the machine constantly locking up when trying to get into PF...  Uninstalling MS JAva and installing Sun V.1.5 did the trick...no lockups now...Regards,TX-Rahman"WHITE 6"

OK...lol....after another disk format... everything is stock after SP2, services wise (except mesenger).i keep getting myself into trouble when i go to BLACK VIPERS site looking at what all to disable.its one computer, no printers hooked up, nor networking. but does connect thru USB to cable internet....all i use it for is gaming.with that in mind, what are some of your set-ups to have services DISABLED, manual, or automatic? ...or what are at least the basic biggies to get?

Just curious if anyone really knows if installing the Sun version will remove the MS version during setup.  Originally followed the UBI topic on this but repeated questions went unanswered as to whether or not you needed to remove MS version before loading the Sun files.  So I loaded the Sun files without removing the MS files (didn’t know how).   When I followed Raman’s link above about removing the MS version it appears that MS had already been removed.  No registry entries and only empty folders left on my hard drive?By the way, didn't see any noticeable improvement after the Sun installation.  TX-Chukar
